// Selected by Seiichi Nakamura //
He had been fascinated by jazz since his childhood, and soon after picking up the saxophone, he decided to become a jazz musician. While studying at the Kunitachi College of Music, he made his debut in 1969 as the founding saxophonist of the Yamashita Yosuke Trio, and pursued free jazz. After leaving the band, he went to the United States in 1978 to study under George Coleman.
After returning to Japan, he appeared on the TV show "Tonight is the Best!" featuring Tamori, and through a wide range of jazz genres, saxophone, and clarinet, he has blazed through the passionate, free, diverse, and humane world of Showa-era Japan, and remains a true jazzman to this day.
He currently performs jazz in a wide range of styles and with various units, while also working hard to train the next generation of musicians as a professor emeritus at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.

// SELMER Alto Sax AXOS 2nd generation //

Since its release, AXOS has been popular due to its affordable price.
The new design and lacquer color (from clear lacquer to gold lacquer) have been added, making it a second-generation model!

AXOS is manufactured in the Mantes, France, factory that has been producing Selmer Paris's famous instruments since 1922, and is designed based on the same concept as the top model, but at an affordable price.
This incredible new model achieves the perfect balance of rich overtones, mellow resonance, and ease of playability that only Selmer Paris' traditional and innovative techniques can produce.

We are an authorized dealer of Selmer saxophones! We will always write our store name on the warranty card.
