A graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts and its graduate school, he won second place in the Nonaka Saxophone Competition. He performs in a wide range of genres, including classical-style solo and chamber music, wind ensembles, and orchestras, as well as quartets, big bands, soundtracks, and commercials, and has performed extensively both in Japan and abroad. He is also active in planning small-ensemble recitals with other instruments, such as piano, harp, koto, and accordion, and in developing new repertoire. This instrument, selected by Mr. Egawa, shines with its warm and intricate tone.

The B♭ soprano saxophone "Super Action 80 Series II" is a groundbreaking design that offers significant advancements and is considered an interesting model, particularly in terms of tone.
It has a beautiful sound, especially rich in high harmonics, and the power of the sound to extend is amazing.
Its design (one-piece tube) provides a stable performance, with outstanding accuracy of pitch and breath flow.
The gold lacquer finish is the most standard finish, characterized by its transparency and bright, soft tone.


A new leap forward in Selmer's 125th year!
The lacquer color has been changed to the same color as the Reference 36, and every detail has been tuned up to suit the new century. From now on, when people talk about Selmer saxophones, they will be referring to the Jubilee.
