Description
■■Renewing tradition■■
The name "Signature" attests to the identity that Selmer Paris has built throughout its history as a developer and manufacturer of musical instruments.
The Signature alto saxophone is an updated version of the Super Action 80 Series II, which has been a defining feature of saxophone history since its release in 1986. While retaining the same sound as the Series II, the instrument offers improved intonation, particularly in the higher registers, and easier breathing in the lower registers.
Designed to be ergonomic and meet the needs of all musicians, the Signature takes inspiration from the Series II and Series III and incorporates the latest innovations updated for the Supreme, including a new three-point neck receiver system for improved tonal uniformity, nickel silver tightening rings for increased density, and supports for improved fluidity of octave key movement.
Paying homage to the craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations in the Mantre-la-Ville factory since 1919, the Signature, with its original Art Deco engraving, is both a traditional saxophone and a landmark for the modern saxophone.
Mantre-la-Ville... This special place radiates power and magic: omnipresent and fundamental craftsmanship, the very sound of living human hands.
■Sound The sound of the Signature is the result of perfect balance.
- Generous and well-rounded sound - Good response, responding to the player's thoughts - Extremely rich tone that can be used in any situation - Sound with long-range projection
The elegant "Signature" saxophone features unique lacquer colors and engravings, a tradition that continues the Selmer Paris tradition since its founding in 1885. The engravings incorporate essential manufacturing tools, boiler flames, blueprints, and patterns, perfectly blending with the Art Deco style of 1922, when the first Selmer saxophone was created. This beautiful design pays homage to the artisanal hands that bring these magnificent instruments to life.
