Description
Description
The DM2 TNT is an active inline preamp ideal for podcasting, recording, and live sound.
It features an ultra-high impedance input that matches any passive microphone (dynamic/ribbon) and eight load settings, providing a moderate +15 dB or explosive +30 dB gain boost.
DM2 boosts the signal from passive microphones without adding noise or coloration, while reducing the potential for unwanted external interference.
The slim yet heavy-duty metal chassis, robust construction and high manufacturing standards ensure reliability even on demanding stages.
Featuring sophisticated Class A circuitry and carefully selected high-quality FETs, the DM2's output impedance is extremely low, achieving nearly half the noise of similar products on the market.
The gain can be switched between two stages, ensuring a signal level that matches the input microphone preamp.
Furthermore, with eight levels of impedance settings and a buffer amplifier, you can always obtain stable gain regardless of the connected load. This variable impedance function can of course be used for matching, but it is also useful as a sound quality correction function different from EQ.
For best results, we recommend connecting the DM2 directly to the output connector of your passive microphone. If necessary, you can use a cable between your microphone and the DM2, but the shorter the cable, the better the overall performance.
Main features of DM2 TNT
Clean, consistent gain settings from a moderate +15 dB to an explosive +30 dB. Carefully designed for neutral, balanced sound quality.
Eight impedance settings are available, ranging from 50 Ω to 10 MΩ, to match any microphone.
Two gain level settings provide flexibility for a variety of sources, while still providing a powerful signal boost regardless of load impedance or cable length.
Sophisticated Class A electronics: Ultra-low noise is achieved thanks to the built-in Class A electronics and high-grade FETs.
In addition, by adopting a transformerless design, the sound quality is faithful to the original source and the noise is the lowest among products in the same class.
Dedicated output buffer amplifier: Delivers +15 dB / +30 dB output power independent of load impedance and cable length. Extremely low output impedance reduces susceptibility to RF interference, buzz, and hum, even with long cable runs.
Slim, sturdy metal enclosure with premium finish: Efficiently rejects all external electrical interference and noise. High-quality finish and gold-plated XLR connectors ensure highly reliable signal connections. The slim design makes it easy to set up in the studio or on stage.

※DM2 TNT Notes
The DM2 is designed exclusively for passive microphones (dynamic microphones/ribbon microphones). It does not provide phantom power to microphones, so it cannot be used with microphones that require phantom power (condenser microphones/active ribbon microphones).
In addition, to operate the DM2, a separate preamp/mixer/audio interface that can supply 48V phantom power is required.
