K47 style capsoule High SPL compatible studio condenser microphone
The Mini K47KD is a newly developed microphone for high SPL applications, based on the popular Mini K47 and using the same capsule. As the "KD" in the model name suggests, it's ideal for recording kick drums, toms, bass amps, and brass sections. Conventionally, microphones designed for high SPL performance incorporate padding by using a larger capacitor in the input stage, but this can also cause distortion. Instead, the Mini K47KD's circuit design has been revised to adjust the internal voltage, providing headroom without additional attenuation. This ensures ample headroom and dynamic range while maintaining clarity and attack.
Like all Roswell microphones, it is handcrafted and tested in our California headquarters before shipping. The Mini K47 KD comes with an exclusive Roswell Pro Audio Cutaway shock mount, a Roswell Pro Audio logo microfleece microphone cover, and an aluminum flight case.
