★The legendary Abbey Road Studios. The API500 module version of the TG Compressor.

Chandler Limited and Abbey Road Studios have recreated the original equipment used in numerous historic recordings, including those of The Beatles, as EMI's "Official Equipment." The authentic analog sound that only hardware equipment can provide truly shines like a jewel.

The TG OPTO Compressor is constructed with the same circuit design as the compressor built into the Chandler Limited TG Microphone Cassette, and is a product that reproduces the same type of sound as the TG1 Limiter, a standard dynamics compressor in modern studios, and the TG12413 Zener Limiter, a standard in mastering studios, in an API500 compatible format.

It has a mono configuration, and the input, output (make-up gain), attack, and release controls are all continuously variable. It also features two types of compression knee settings: sharp and round. Working with engineers at Abbey Road Studios, the sound quality and functionality have been refined over a long period of time to provide optimal compression for all sources, from drums to vocals, in modern recording.

●Product details
The Chandler Limited TG OPTO Compressor is a luxurious, fully discrete, handmade analog compressor that recreates the circuit design and sound quality of the EMI TG12413 limiter module found in the legendary TG12345 mixing console, which defined the sound of classic albums by artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, John Lennon, and George Harrison during the golden age of rock from the late 1960s through the 1970s.

This API500-compatible, double-spaced mono unit features continuously variable controls for input, output (makeup gain), attack, and release, allowing for precise, nuanced adjustment. Two additional compression knee settings (sharp/round) allow optimal compression for any source, from drums to vocals, even in modern recording environments. The sound quality and functionality of this exceptional unit have been refined over many years in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios engineers.

The channel strip of the legendary console TG12345 can be completely reproduced in API500 compatible format when combined with the TG2-500 (microphone preamp) and TGT2345 MKIV (equalizer).

*Chandler Limited is a joint venture with EMI/Abbey Road Studios that produces official reproductions of original equipment owned by EMI.
