Rock sound officially approved by Abbey Road Studios. "The Beatles Microphone Preamp."

The TG2 is a faithful reproduction of the head amplifier of the EMI TG12428 console, which was used at EMI/ABBEY ROAD STUDIO from the late 1960s to the 1970s.

EMI's TG console is deeply engraved in rock classics such as The Beatles' "Abbey Road" and Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon," both recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

The original design notes, schematics and actual equipment were meticulously studied by equipment designer Wade Goake, resulting in a beautifully crafted sound that brings the legend of Abbey Road Studios and The Beatles back into the world of modern recording.

The sound is like a fusion of the high frequencies of NEVE and the punchiness of API.

This two-channel head amp, described by EQ Magazine as "a fusion of NEVE and API," delivers a powerful, vintage-inspired sound at first listen. Its organic, open sound is endlessly smooth and supple. While many users have commented that it evokes the classic NEVE sound, the CHANDLER LIMITED TG sound is a little more unique. The top end of the high frequencies is more open and extended than the best vintage NEVEs, while the mids and lows have a more API-esque power and punch. The rich, warm sound, enhanced by a strong INPUT setting and enhanced overtones, creates a luxurious rock sound that can only be experienced with the TG2. Now you can record with the quality of this timeless, classic British console that deserves to be passed down through the generations.

The latest TG2 Abbey Road Edition now features input impedance switching (300 ohms and 1200 ohms), which was previously an option, as standard! It also comes standard with the Summing Option, which mixes both channels and sends them to Channel 2.
