A complete reproduction of the channel strip from Abbey Road Studios' TG12345 console!

The TG Microphone Cassette is the channel strip of EMI/Abbey Road Studio's historic mixing console (TG12345), which left its mark on numerous classic albums from the 1960s and 1970s, including those by The Beatles.

The TG Microphone Cassette consists of three sections: the TG2 microphone preamp, the Curve Bender equalizer, and the TG1 opto-limiter.

The TG Microphone Cassette is a faithful reproduction of the original design and sound of the valuable single channel of the historic console that produced so many classic rock albums, created under the supervision of Abbey Road Studios. It's like a time machine that lets you recreate authentic rock history in your studio and relive the atmosphere of that era.

TG2 Preamp Section
The TG2 microphone preamp section is a reproduction of the EMI TG12428, and is characterized by a sound that is representative of the British rock sound of the late 1960s and 1970s.

By combining COARSE GAIN and FINE GAIN, you can create different harmonic textures even with the same gain setting, allowing you to create a wide range of sounds, from clean to fat with emphasized distortion. The TG2's unique vintage sound can be adjusted with a total gain of +70dB.

It also features a 6-stage low-cut filter (RUMBLE FILTER), DI input, LINE switch, 48V switch, and PHASE switch.

Curve Bender EQ section
The CURVE BENDER EQ section is an official reproduction of the legendary EMI TG12345 Curve Bender, a highly trusted analog EQ that epitomizes the British sound, even being used as the mastering EQ on recent remasters of The Beatles albums.

It has a three-band configuration: Treble (8.1kHz, shelving EQ), Bass (91Hz, shelving EQ), and Presence (mid-range, 300/500Hz, 1.2/3.6/6.5kHz, peaking-type EQ). The EQ section can be bypassed using the EQ IN/OUT switch.
TG1 OPTO Compressor/Limiter Section This section recreates the classic EMI 12413 limiter using the opto principle. The TG1 OPTO works like an auto-gain limiter, varying both the input level and the output gain reduction simultaneously.

The TG1 OPTO section consists of a HOLD knob to control the amount of compression, an ATTACK & RELEASE knob, an original EMI limiter (RS114, RS124, RS168), a KNEE switch to change the compression curve, an OUTPUT knob for final level adjustment, and a BYPAS switch for the compressor & limiter section.

In addition, the gain reduction of the compressors on two TG Microphone Cassettes can be linked in stereo by connecting them to each other with a LINK cable (a standard 1/4 phone cable).
