Description
-IRON COBRA 900 DRUM PEDAL BLACKOUT SPECIAL EDITION-
The IRON COBRA 900 pedal has been the "face" of TAMA drum pedals since its debut in 1993. It is a drum pedal that has continued to evolve every day to provide numerous adjustment functions to accommodate various playing styles and reliability that allows you to concentrate on playing with peace of mind.
In 2021, the IRON COBRA will be released as a limited edition model in a matte black finish that evokes boldness, strength, and sporty agility.
The contrast between the jet-black matte black and the black nickel used in key areas further enhances the beauty of each pedal's design.
This luxurious black finish model symbolizes the stability and power that are characteristic of COBRA pedals, as well as the aggressive attitude of COBRA pedals, which have always been evolving.
-Rolling Glide Lite Sprocket-
Iron Cobra's Rolling Glide features a natural action with a traditional round wheel. The cam (sprocket) is approximately 40% lighter than the previous model, resulting in a lighter pedal feel. This versatile model offers easy-to-control response.
-Power-Strike Cobra Beater-
The Cobra Beater features a smaller and thicker felt surface that hits the head than previous models, enhancing the bass drum's body resonance and producing a full, solid sound. The flattened felt surface also emphasizes the attack.
The beater head retains its angle adjustment function, while revising the balance between the distance from the tip of the felt to the end and the shaft position to improve control, resulting in a solid sound that doesn't blur even at low volume.
-Swivel Spring Tight (US.PAT.NO.9236038)-
This mechanism was designed to maximize the effect of the spring. The shaft that secures the bottom end of the spring rotates in accordance with the movement of the pedal, allowing the spring to constantly expand and contract vertically without distortion, even during intense movements. This converts the elastic energy stored in the spring into energy that moves the pedal without loss. Furthermore, by reducing friction at the connection point with the spring, we have achieved ideal pedal work, with a light depression and a fast return.
-Para-Clamp II Pro-
This upgraded version of TAMA's original clamp securely holds bass drum hoops of various thicknesses. The rubber-tipped tip that secures the bass drum hoop provides increased grip, minimizing damage to the hoop while providing a strong hold. The tip also features a three-dimensional moving design, allowing the tip to adjust to the angle of the bass drum, even when the front of the bass drum is positioned extremely high, ensuring stable pedal placement. What's more, the T-bolt used to secure the pedal can be operated from the side of the footboard, allowing you to attach and detach the pedal while sitting on the stool.
-Oiles(R) Bearing Hinge-
The hinge section, which serves as the footboard's fulcrum, uses Oiles(R) bearings, providing smooth action and exceptional stability with minimal footboard wobble.
Furthermore, durability has been improved by adopting a slightly larger diameter than the previous model.
-Speedo-Ring-
High-precision ball bearings are used in the rollers of the rocker cam that transmit spring tension to the shaft. By thoroughly reducing loss in moving parts, quick response is achieved.
