Scarlett OctoPre features eight channels of second-generation Scarlett mic inputs and balanced line inputs, supporting 24-bit up to 192kHz conversion and 109dB dynamic range.
●Dual front-panel instrument inputs Scarlett OctoPre's two instrument inputs on the front panel provide high headroom and handle high-output guitar pickups, making them easily accessible.
Plenty of headroom and input pads
All inputs on the Scarlett OctoPre have high headroom, and each input channel is equipped with a PAD switch, allowing you to properly track any input, whether it's guitar, keyboard, vocals or drums.
●The eight balanced line outputs, which directly source the standalone output inputs, allow you to use Scarlett OctoPre in a live setting while recording to a DAW via the digital ADAT output.
ADAT
ADAT is a simple and easy way to expand your analog inputs.
The ADAT standard transmits up to eight channels of audio over inexpensive optical cables.
Simply connect the OctoPre's ADAT output to the interface's ADAT input and set the sample rate and clock source to the same to use it as an expanded input.
ADAT inputs are available on many Focusrite and third-party interfaces and are interchangeable.
Do you also need DA input/output and a compressor? If you need more inputs and outputs, please also consider the Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic. The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is equipped with DA conversion and analog compression functions, so if you are looking for greater versatility, the Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic will be useful.
