Description
Description
This is recommended for recording enthusiasts who prioritize natural sound quality that is faithful to the original sound.
A simple, natural-sounding, noise-free direct box. This is the ideal direct box that only the RADIAL JDI has achieved. The RADIAL JDI outputs a wide frequency range from 10Hz to 40kHz without any coloration or phase distortion.
The key to JDI's high quality is the use of extremely high-quality JENSEN transformers, which excel in ground loop isolation. These JENSEN transformers have extremely high fidelity to the original sound, producing no noise or distortion. This allows the original sound of the instrument to be reproduced naturally, and all the nuances of the player's voice can be reproduced without any loss.
In addition to the phase reverse switch, 15dB pad switch, and ground lift switch required for a direct box, the RADIAL JDI also features its own unique stereo to mono switch and parallel speaker switch.
The parallel speaker switch is a unique feature not found in previous direct boxes. Connect the amp output signal from a guitar amp or other device in parallel to the speaker cabinet and JDI, and press this switch to automatically activate the 12" speaker simulation filter. This allows you to mix microphone and line signals for recording, for example.
The JDI is completely passive - no phantom power or batteries required - just plug in your instrument and play.

●Comments
Recording Magazine's Radial JDI, with its focus on transparency, is the pure ideal of the direct box world.
ALAIN CARON
I love using RADIAL direct boxes because they are faithful to the original sound and don't color the sound of the instrument. I don't want to lose the individuality of the instrument, so the high resolution that RADIAL offers is important.
WILL LEE
It has a natural, present sound. When I used the Radial, the engineer turned to me and said, "What's that? I have to buy one."
MARK EGAN
My bass is the best sounding it has ever been - the sound is natural, pure and level is great.
TONY LEVIN
It's extremely clean, quiet, and accurately reproduces the low end. Since I got the Radial, I use it every time I record.
