FAQ

Description

The American company "Airline," which supplied home appliances and musical instruments through catalog sales and retail stores, outsourced the production of its guitars and basses to American guitar manufacturers such as "Valco," "Kay," and "Harmony." Therefore, the Airline brand of musical instruments is likely quite familiar to fans of bizarre guitars.

This latest shipment includes a model with a unique shape that has recently gained worldwide attention due to its use by popular artists. While the Resoglass model, made from various materials, is well-known, this particular model features a wooden body.

【body】
The total weight is approximately 3.35 kg. The distinctively shaped body (maple-like?) has a circular routing inside for weight adjustment. The beautiful sunburst color is finished with lacquer. There are some weather checking, dents, and scratches commensurate with its age, as well as some scratches on the back panel from a belt buckle and some tarnishing on the parts, but it can be said to be in relatively good condition. The bridge base is currently glued to the body.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple with a bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. The familiar brand logo is visible in three dimensions on the headstock. There is some weather checking commensurate with its age, some minor scratches around the neck, and some tarnishing on the metal parts, but like the body, it is in relatively good condition. The tuners have been replaced with new ones. The frets and nut have been replaced, and the playability is good. The nut width is 43.8mm. It features a sturdy neck shape typical of bizarre guitars.

[Electrical System]
The controls consist of a 3-way pickup selector, master volume, and master tone. It is equipped with two original single-coil pickups. The selector switch has been replaced with a new one. All other control components, including the pickups, are in their original condition.

While this shape of model is strongly associated with the rich, harmonically rich tone of the Resoglass semi-hollow type, the use of wood for the body material results in a more woody and approachable tone, which is a nice touch.
