Bacchus Handmade Series Limited Edition
T8-CUSTOM×Flame Tochi
Flame Tochi and Alder "Half & Half" 8-string guitar! Flame Tochi×Half & Half
This model features a rare flamed horse chestnut body top. Horse chestnuts are a deciduous broadleaf tree native to Honshu, Hokkaido, and Kyushu. They've long been used in Japan for furniture and construction, and are highly sought after by Japanese woodworkers, often repurposed into high-value, first-class crafts, including solid-wood tables. While typical body tops are typically less than 5mm thick, this model features a 1:1 ratio of flamed horse chestnut to alder, essentially a "half and half" construction. This exceptional 8-string model, unique to Bacchus, is crafted with an abundance of the finest woods!
Mojotone Pickup: The pickup is a high-gain Mojotone/Level Head humbucker. The wound strings on the bass guitar use adjustable pole pieces to produce a tight, clear sound. The plain strings on the treble guitar are designed to produce a thick, rich sound. The oversized ceramic magnets create a high-output, punchy, sustained tone that cuts through easily in a band mix!
This flame-toned model is one of the 2018 Musical Instrument Fair Divider Special Models, and was produced in limited quantities of one each in the following colors: CBR-GRD, CGR-GRD, and CBP-GRD. This is the green-colored CGR-GRD model.
8-string guitars tend to have a strong metallic feel, but this is a masterpiece from Bacchus that takes that and creates a stylish, high-quality finish. This is a truly authentic 8-string guitar that could only be realized as a special model!
