Description
Description
This is the Model 950, which was introduced in 1957 and continued in production until the mid-1970s. It is a thin, solid-body model with a distinctive tulip body shape. This guitar was produced around 1967.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 2.8 kg. The body features a neck-through construction with maple wings. The body color is a beautifully faded Fireglo. There are some dents and scratches, paint chipping on the body side, signs of wear on the pickguard, and some tarnish on parts, but considering the age of the guitar, it is in fairly good condition.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple with a neck-through construction. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. The headtop is finished in the same Fireglow color as the body. Although there are some small dents and tarnish on the metal parts, it is in excellent condition, just like the body. The tuners function well, although there is some variation in winding. The frets and nut are worn, but there are no issues such as extreme choking when set within the specifications. The nut width is 41.0mm. The neck shape is comfortable to hold, as is typical of a compact 21-inch scale.
[Electrical system]
The controls are a 3-way pickup selector, 2 volumes, and 2 tones. The pickups are two of Rickenbacker's most popular toaster top pickups. While playing a short-scale model requires some skill, the warm, vibrant tone with rich overtones is a real draw.
