■About MD Guitars
The MD-Electric Guitar line began with the development and sale of affordable guitars when it debuted in 1997. However, in order to break away from the stereotype that "cheap" means "cheap instruments," the company shifted its focus to developing truly valuable instruments, resulting in the "MD MM-Produce" line.
These instruments combine the know-how of musical instrument producer Toshi Owa and the passion of Japan's leading musician, Masaki Matsubara, and are a culmination of the two men's know-how, from the selection of wood to the setup of parts, with the theme of ``Turning thoughts into shape.''
We are confident that our flagship model, the MD-Premier G1, will be passed down to future generations as a classic Made in Japan instrument.
Starting in the second half of 2013, in the hopes of allowing more people to experience this know-how, the G1-Reborn will be added to the lineup as a reborn version of the cost-effective MD-Premier G1.
These series were created by combining the on-site demands of professional musicians with the characteristics of wood and parts, and were assembled and supervised by OWA himself.

Following the passing of Masaki Matsubara, the standard MD model has been reborn as the G1 Reborn to carry on his spirit!
This reborn model retains as much of the G1 Signature concept as possible, while offering well-balanced specifications that are also reasonable in terms of cost.
The semi-hollow body creates a rich, full-bodied sound with overtones, while the striking quilted maple top creates a striking effect. The set neck construction and boldly cut joint heel enhance playability in the upper registers.
The two humbucker pickups can be switched to single coil with a mini switch, allowing you to output six different tones, doubling the usual three!
The sound produced is unimaginable from this price range, and the result is more than adequate for the price.
The signature model is no longer available, but the spirit lives on!
