The KG-PRIME is a Japanese-made modified guitar that has been in production for over 30 years since it was created for Akira Takasaki of LOUDNESS and first went on the market in 1988. Its sophisticated and unique body shape, neck joint positioned deeper than the front pickup, and VU-shaped neck for ideal grip in both the low and high positions are all carefully considered in its construction.

This guitar features a birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, and the smooth finish on the neck makes it easy to play even with demanding playing styles. The 3-tone sunburst finish and the moderately weighted ash body create a perfect combination. The hardware includes a Floyd Rose original for stable arm play, Schaller tuning machines, and LQ-500 Dyna-Bite pickups for a rich, clean, and crisp sound.

With modified guitars, looks take priority, resulting in models that are difficult to play while sitting down or that are poorly balanced. However, the PRIME series boasts high playability and excellent balance that you wouldn't expect from its aggressive looks. Its wide range and excellent response make it a "first-class" guitar, just as its name suggests. The fact that it has been in production for over 30 years is proof enough of this. Be sure to pick one up and experience its true value!

This particular guitar is in excellent player condition, with a signature on the back of the headstock, slight scuffs, playing marks, and dents throughout the body, as well as some tarnish and rust on the hardware. However, there are no visible scratches that significantly impair its appearance. The frets remain at about 70% of their original height, and the neck is generally straight, but upon closer inspection, the frets are straight from the 1st to 10th frets, with a slight forward bow from there on. However, the truss rod has about one full turn of headroom, and there are no issues with performance, including the electrical system! This is a guitar that you can enjoy for years to come.
