Description
Description
SPINBAL is an item that incorporates a bearing inside the cymbal seat cup.
When you spin a cymbal in combination with a spinning cymbal, the internal bearings allow it to continue rotating. Hitting a fast-spinning cymbal with a stick brings out the overtones, creating a more open and spacious sound. Spinning a cymbal in combination with a perforated cymbal not only creates a visual effect, but also produces a trashier, more effective sound.
Additionally, by using attachments that can be attached to the cymbal stand to hang sizzling items (such as a PROMARK RATTLER), you can create a sizzling sound for a long time. You can also hang necklace chains or paper clips from the stand, creating endless possibilities for original sound creation. This is an innovative cymbal accessory that is ideal for decorating the sound of the side cymbals.
Quantity: 1 Body height x diameter: 290mm x 350mm
Body hole diameter: 8mm
Felt height: 14mm
Felt hole diameter: 12mm
*This product is compatible with 8mm diameter screws, but slight differences in thickness may cause the screws to not fit depending on the manufacturer. For details, please see "Other Notes Regarding Compatible Stands" below.
[Other notes regarding compatible stands]
This product is compatible with stands with an 8mm diameter, but some stands may not fit depending on the manufacturer and year of manufacture. If the groove between the screw groove and the lower post is shallow, it will work, but if the groove is deep, the bottom part will be thicker than the screw groove and may not fit.
The following cymbal stand models are not compatible with Spinbal (as of December 15, 2017):
●YAMAHA: CS850, CS860, CS965
TAMA: HC82W, HC84BW, HC43BS, vintage models up to the 90s; SONOR: 4000 series, 2000 series, 600 series
If you don't touch it after starting it to spin, it will continue to spin for about 10 minutes. Hitting the cymbal with a normal stroke will slow down the rotation speed and shorten the duration. It takes some practice, but you can extend the duration by hitting it diagonally in the direction of the rotation, as shown in the image. With experience, it's possible to keep it spinning for more than 10 minutes.
Please use a durable and heavy stand (as the stand will shake significantly when you turn the cymbal forcefully).
●Please avoid using this lightweight type with a vintage stand as the legs may be damaged.
●Please avoid using this product in combination with a suspend stand.
●Spread the legs wide and check the safety of your surroundings before using.
●Please remove all attachments before use.
Spinbal is compatible with all types of cymbals, but please do not use cymbals that have been cut by yourself or that have cracks or breaks. This can make the sticks more susceptible to damage. When using irregularly shaped cymbals (such as octagonal cymbals), please be careful where you strike them, as they may shake violently if struck near the edge.
●When rotating a cymbal, the larger the size and heavier the weight, the longer the rotation duration will be, and the smaller the size and lighter the weight, the shorter the rotation duration will be.
●Spinbal is for crash cymbals sized 16" to 20" and ride cymbals sized 18" to 22".
When using the Spinval, do not tilt it more than 25 degrees. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or tipping caused by using it at a steep angle.
●Using a wing nut to secure the cymbal will shorten its rotation duration. To maximize the sound produced by a spin cymbal, you must remove the wing nut and the felt washer on the top. However, if you want to use a wing nut for safety, use a locking wing nut (TAMA QC8 [Quick Cymbal Mate]). The key is to lock it with enough clearance so that the threads are visible.
