■The Ultimate Audio Interface Expander Building on the acclaimed Alpha Link series, Solid State Logic introduces the ALPHA 8, an 8-input/8-output professional analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converter ideal for expanding your audio interface via ADAT and S/PDIF.
Additionally, if you configure the ALPHA 8 to handle all analog and digital I/O simultaneously via USB, it becomes an 18-input, 18-output audio interface.
With best-in-class conversion, flexible routing and flawless audio performance, ALPHA 8 will help you maximize the potential of your setup.

Input dynamic range: 120 dB / Output dynamic range: 123 dB, Input THD+N: -110 dB / Output THD+N ?108 dB
Using next-generation 32-bit/192 kHz converters, Alpha 8 brings SSL-grade audio performance to your studio.
With vast dynamic range, incredibly low THD+N, immeasurable crosstalk and an exceptionally low noise floor, Alpha 8 provides line-level heaven for analogue outboard processing, samplers, synths and drum machines.
No more compromises. Capture your sound with the quality it deserves.

■ Analog agility and digital superiority
The ALPHA 8 allows for a variety of AD/DA routing configurations to suit your specific needs.
This allows you to make the most of all the digital and analog I/O provided.
Whether as a simple bidirectional analog, an ADAT/SPDIF converter, an 18-input/18-output USB audio interface, or a combination of both, the ALPHA 8 offers highly flexible routing options for analog and digital I/O.

■Great Connector
The operating level of each analogue input and output can be individually adjusted to operating levels of +9, +18, +20 or +24 dBu, ensuring optimum signal integrity and maximising headroom for devices connected to the ALPHA 8.
Whether you're using 19-inch rack gear, vintage synthesizers, analog mixers, 500-series modules, or monitor controllers, ALPHA 8 ensures that all connections to your equipment are fully optimized.
On the digital side, word clock input/output, ADAT and S/PDIF clocking options give the ALPHA 8 superior digital audio processing, ensuring jitter-free, robust integration in studio environments while enhancing performance in the creative space.

■SSL 18 + Alpha 8
The ALPHA 8 is the ultimate audio interface expander for producers and engineers who want to bring SSL sound and quality into their existing setup, but it's also the perfect companion to the SSL 18.
Instantly expand the SSL 18's I/O via ADAT, adding 8 channels (1 x ALPHA 8) or 16 channels (2 x ALPHA 8).
Perfect for easily integrating additional analog outboard processing, analog mixers, etc.

■Extend your workflow
ALPHA 8's flexible analog and digital routing opens up a wide range of workflow possibilities.
Create hardware insert paths for 500 series modules, outboard EQs, compressors, and hardware FX.
Use the S/PDIF I/O for external meters and amp simulators.
Or use the ALPHA 8 as your main interface and seamlessly connect your analog and digital devices to your DAW via USB-C.
For electronic music producers, the ALPHA 8's output can output control voltages to control synthesizers, modular rigs, and CV-enabled FX pedals.
