The next level of Scarlett - Widely applicable to a variety of uses
Featuring the same high-quality converters found in Focusrite's flagship RedNet series, the Scarlett 16i16 is an industry-leading USB audio interface with 16 inputs/16 outputs, two mic preamps, Hi-Z instrument and line inputs, ADAT, SPDIF, and MIDI, making it ideal for both home and studio use.

Equipped with a high-definition, ultra-low noise, digitally controlled fourth-generation preamplifier
Equipped with a fourth-generation preamp that delivers 69dB of headroom, it's perfect for capturing everything from delicate vocals to the thunderous sound of a guitar amp. Up to six analog inputs are ideal for connecting outboard gear. The powerful output delivers clean, ultra-low distortion music playback. It also features two custom-designed headphone amplifiers that support high-impedance headphones.

Best-in-class sound quality: Equipped with fully professional-grade 192kHz, 24-bit AD/DA converters inherited from Focusrite's flagship RedNet interface, used by professionals around the world, the 122dB dynamic range delivers crystal-clear sound, capturing every nuance of your sound source, from birdsong to jet engines.

The new Scarlett features two Air modes: Presence mode, which emulates the classic Focusrite sound, boosts the high frequencies to bring the sound forward, and Harmonic Drive mode, which emphasizes the mid-range harmonics to add presence. Easily create the perfect sound for guitars, vocals, and more.

Just press the Auto Gain button and play for 10 seconds, and Scarlett will automatically set the optimum input level for your recording. It applies gain settings that take full advantage of the impressive dynamic range and provide ample headroom. Let Auto Gain take care of the volume adjustments, so you can focus on your recording session.

Clip Safe prevents audio distortion. The Clip Safe function checks the volume level 96,000 times per second and automatically adjusts the gain if there is a risk of clipping. This prevents audio distortion during recording. Unlike compression or limiters, this function does not affect the quality of the recording. This means you won't lose a take due to a recording mistake.

Control your mix with the app
Focusrite Control 2 software provides easy and convenient access to routing, level settings, monitor mix creation and other product features. Available for desktop, iOS and Android, it allows engineers and performers to adjust monitor mixes and mic preamp gain without having to look at a computer screen.

Includes a wide range of useful music production software
Scarlett comes with Ableton Live Lite and Pro Tools Artist recording software (3-month free trial). Additionally, we're offering a free software bundle called the Hitmaker Expansion, a $1000 value bundle containing industry-leading, high-quality plug-in effects and software instruments.
