Description
Description
The item we have in stock this time was shipped around 1973. It is a watch in the "Competition Burgundy with Blue Stripes" colorway that first appeared in the catalog in 1969.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.5 kg. Like other major models, the Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss finish is used. The metallic blue body features a light blue racing stripe, making it one of the most attractive features. There is some weathering, dents, and scratches, as well as some shrinkage of the pickguard due to age and some tarnish on the metal parts, but considering the model year, it is in fairly good condition. The armbar and fixing screws have been replaced.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. The headstock shows weather checking appropriate for its age, and there are some small dents around the headstock, but like the body, it is in excellent condition. The tuners are wound to varying degrees but still function properly. The frets and nut show some wear, but there is no significant choking or clogging. The headstock is 15.4mm thick. The nut width is 40.6mm. The neck shape is characterized by a moderate thickness.
[Electrical system]
The Mustang's familiar controls include a master volume, master tone, and pickup selector switches. The pickup selector allows you to create a mixed sound, either in-phase or out-of-phase, depending on the position. The neck (front) pickup has been rewind corrected. The volume pot has also been replaced. The instrument itself sounds great, with a crisp, articulate tone that's characteristic of old Fender guitars, offering a lustrous, engaging tone.
