Description

NEUMANN precision, incredible low-frequency performance, and unparalleled power

The KH 150 is a powerful 2-way powered studio monitor offering reference-class performance. Its 6.5" woofer in a bass-reflex cabinet delivers incredible low-frequency performance, exceptional maximum SPL, and consistent intelligibility. DSP-controlled electronics ensure excellent linear phase response, while Neumann's innovative MA 1 automatic monitor alignment ensures optimal calibration in any room.

Reproduce what you hear with your ears
The KH 150 was developed with the same philosophy as all Neumann studio monitors: maximum linearity, extremely low distortion, no unwanted coloration, and perfect adaptation to any acoustic environment. Every nuance of the music is heard, and mixing, once the idea is set, is incredibly fast and easy. And the creativity is unparalleled. It sounds great, but is it really good enough? Are the vocals too bright? Are the sibilance too harsh? Is the bass too prominent? All of these questions are answered by the KH 150.

Performance comparable to that of large speakers
What sets the KH 150 apart from its more compact sibling? Its exceptional low-frequency performance, down to 39 Hz. Thanks to a new 6.5" woofer housed in a carefully designed bass-reflex cabinet, the KH 150 delivers low-frequency performance on par with the larger KH 310. This exceptional low-frequency performance makes it ideal for urban music, EDM, film soundtracks, and any genre that demands deep bass and high volume. And thanks to its powerful amplifiers (145W/100W) and advanced protection limiters, you can be confident that clarity will not be lost even at high sound pressure levels. A truly universal speaker, the KH 150 is suited to all musical genres and applications, from rock to classical, broadcasting, and voice-over.

The KH 150 boasts an astonishing linear frequency response of 39 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB) with linearized phase response. It boasts incredibly transparent midrange and exceptional time domain precision, ensuring accurate impulse reproduction and flawless elimination of reverberation. This is made possible by DSP-controlled electronics, with advanced crossovers that eliminate phase distortion inherent in analog filters. The onboard DSP also sets new standards for tonal consistency, achieving a tolerance of less than ±0.8 dB—a discernible error. Experience the razor-sharp stereo image.

Even the best speakers can only deliver sound that matches the acoustic environment. Neumann's unique MMD waveguide mathematically models sound dispersion, minimizing sound reflections while achieving a wide sweet spot. Furthermore, the KH 150's built-in DSP allows for room-specific calibration using the innovative MA 1 automatic monitor alignment (sold separately). The MA 1 optimally adjusts the DSP-equipped speakers to the characteristics of the room, ensuring a 100% accurate calibration for your listening position. Even in properly acoustically treated rooms, it delivers significant improvements.

The KH 150 also offers high tonal compatibility with other KH series speakers, making it suitable for integration into surround/immersive systems. It also offers both analog and digital inputs for flexible connectivity.
Achieve interoperability between Audio over IP protocols with the AES67 standard

The KH 150 AES67 variant features redundant AES67 audio network ports that are 100% compliant with broadcast standards such as ST 2110, ST 2022-7, and RAVENNA, and is also compatible with AES67 network streams generated by DANTER.

Excellent energy-saving performance
Neumann's engineers have focused on developing amplifier technology (patent pending) that combines outstanding audio performance with Class D energy efficiency. The KH 150's amplifier delivers up to 145W to the 6.5" woofer and 100W to the tweeter, yet consumes just 17W when idle. Automatic standby reduces power consumption to 0.3W after periods of non-use, but this function can be disabled.

Installation method
Most accessories for the KH 120 can be used with the KH 150. The exception is the LH 65 table stand; the slightly larger LH 66 is now available for the KH 150 (Cat. No. 700258). Since the KH 150 is slightly heavier and larger than the KH 120, the LH 61 (L bracket) has also been improved. Furthermore, the LH 64 (VESA mount) has been adjusted to allow for easier access to the KH 150's controls. The order numbers remain unchanged.

For detailed setup instructions, see our new Monitor Mounting Matrix and Monitor Accessory Finder. We'll also be updating the Monitor Accessory Finder soon.
