The Notepad Series offers superior acoustic performance, including high-quality microphone preamps that deliver a warm, British sound and studio-quality Lexicon PRO effects processors. Furthermore, it offers a wide range of features, including a USB audio interface that supports multi-track recording and a wealth of analog inputs and outputs, making it ideal for a variety of applications, from desktop music (DTM) to video production and small-scale PA systems.
●Achieve acoustic performance beyond its class: Equipped with high-quality microphone preamps inherited from higher-end models, it not only provides wide headroom and low noise, but also inherits Soundcraft's unique warm British sound.
The mono input is equipped with a 3-band EQ (2 for the Notepad-5). The mid-range EQ has a practical design that affects a wide frequency range when boosting and a narrow frequency range when cutting, allowing you to freely adjust the sound quality. There is also a high-pass filter to remove low-frequency noise.
The Notepad-8/12FX is equipped with a studio-quality Lexicon PRO effects processor. In addition to the world-renowned reverb, you can also use delay and chorus, allowing you to create a wide range of sounds with just one unit. There's also a karaoke mode that enhances vocal expression.
●Direct connection to a variety of devices: The Notepad-12FX features a 4-input, 4-output USB audio interface*1. Any signal can be assigned to the output, making multi-track recording easy using a PC or tablet device. In addition to two channel inputs, a separate stereo signal can be output directly from headphones. This is convenient for playing click sounds to sync with your performance or pre-recorded audio sources. The Notepad-5/8FX's USB audio interface*1 is a 2-input, 2-output design.
The mono input is a combined XLR and standard phone jack, with the XLR jack supporting microphone level signals and the standard phone jack supporting line level signals. The XLR jack provides 48V phantom power*2, allowing you to use condenser microphones. The standard phone jack supports high-impedance connections, allowing you to directly connect electric guitars, basses, and other instruments.
- In addition to the master output, the unit is equipped with a monitor output that can switch between sources and mono/stereo, a headphone output, and an AUX output.
Numerous features to support operation: The ducking function automatically lowers the volume of the input signal from the USB audio interface when a signal is input to the microphone, and smoothly returns to the original volume when the signal ends. For example, when creating a video that includes music and narration, you can automatically lower the volume of the music while the narrator is speaking.
The mono input is equipped with LED indicators that monitor the signal level after passing through the GAIN/EQ/LEVEL knobs, and the master output is equipped with a highly visible LED output level meter, allowing you to accurately grasp the signal level.
- The housing is made of metal and is highly durable, and is also equipped with a fastener to prevent the power cord from coming loose.
