The Model 24 serves as a multi-track recorder, mixer, and audio interface, offering flexible support for a wide range of situations, including live performances, rehearsals, and recording, making it a new recording solution that meets the diverse needs of today's musicians and engineers.
●Simple design that allows for intuitive operabilityThe simple and classic design unique to analog consoles, such as 100mm faders that allow for precise volume adjustment, user-friendly EQ and AUX knobs, and a one-knob compressor that provides natural compression, provides intuitive operability.
TASCAM's cutting-edge recording technology
The Model 24 features a multi-track recording engine that incorporates TASCAM's extensive recording technology, allowing simultaneous recording of 24 tracks to an SD card, simultaneous playback of 22 tracks, and simultaneous punch-in/out of 8 tracks. It also features TASCAM's renowned studio-quality 16-channel microphone preamps, ensuring high-quality, clear sound.
Flexible connection
The unit features 22 analog input channels, consisting of 20 balanced inputs (12 mono and 4 stereo) and 1 unbalanced stereo input. The unbalanced stereo input is equipped with a Bluetooth® receiver, allowing you to connect a mobile device such as a smartphone and play background music. It also functions as a 22-channel USB audio interface, allowing you to record multitracks directly to your DAW.
Durability and reliability: Lightweight and highly portable, it can be carried to a variety of locations, including studios and live venues. Long trusted by professionals, TASCAM's high durability provides a stable working environment anytime, anywhere.
●Record
The Model 24 is equipped with a multi-track recording engine that generously incorporates the recording technology that TASCAM has cultivated over many years. It supports simultaneous recording of 24 tracks, simultaneous playback of 22 tracks, and even simultaneous punch-in/out of 8 tracks. It is ideal for a variety of environments, including live concerts, rehearsals, and recording.
Mix
With 22 analog input channels, it can meet the needs of a wide variety of venues. The control section, designed with ease of use in mind, includes studio-quality microphone preamps, a one-knob compressor for natural compression, a three-band equalizer for wide sound shaping, and a 100mm fader for fine volume adjustment, enabling accurate and fast mixing. Its intuitive design eliminates the need for complex menu operations or searching for presets, providing a high-quality analog sound and a highly user-friendly mixing environment for stage, studio, and more.
Connect
The AK4110 features a low-latency, ASIO-compatible USB audio interface engine, allowing multi-track recording to your DAW. It also features a MODE switch that lets you select the input source with one touch, depending on your application—mixing, playback, recording—so you can work smoothly without having to reconnect cables or reset levels.
●Channel Surfing
Channels 1 and 2 are equipped with XLR and TRS inputs, as well as insert inputs and outputs for connecting external compressors and EQs. Additionally, they feature a preamp gain control (with signal/overload LEDs), a 100Hz low-cut switch, and a line/instrument switch that also supports high-impedance (Hi-Z) inputs.
The MODE switch is used to switch between input sources. In LIVE mode, signals from each analog input are input, in PC mode, signals from the DAW are input, and in MTR mode, playback signals from the SD card are input.
Just below the MODE switch is a one-knob compressor that allows for instant dynamic adjustments even during a live performance. It also features a three-band semi-parametric EQ (with adjustable mid-range frequency) to help create the perfect tone for vocals and guitars (channels 1 to 12).
Next to the EQ section are three AUX send knobs (Mon1, Mon2, FX) that allow you to send signals to external monitors, effects, etc.
The upper fader section is equipped with a PAN knob, REC button, MUTE button, and a 100mm fader for fine volume adjustment. All input channels are also equipped with assignment switches for the main mix, subgroups, and PFL.
*Line/instrument selector switch is only equipped on channels 1 and 2.
*1-knob compressor and 3-band semi-parametric EQ are equipped on channels 1 to 12.
Channels 13 to 20 support stereo input and are equipped with XLR mono input terminals and TRS stereo input terminals. The TRS stereo input will switch to mono even if only the left side is connected.
Channels 21 and 22 have stereo RCA or 3.5mm stereo mini inputs, suitable for connecting to CD players, mobile devices, etc., and can also be connected via Bluetooth. AUX sends can also be used to output to Mon 1 and Mon 2.
Master and Commander
The Model 24's master section features 100mm faders for controlling the main mix, monitor, and submix outputs, as well as mute and assignment switches, just like the input channels. The upper row of the master section is equipped with the digital effects processor popular in the TASCAM PORTASTUDIO series, offering 16 user-friendly presets for various applications, including reverb, delay, chorus, and flanger. Additionally, the unit is equipped with a control panel for operating MTR functions and a 7-band graphic EQ with assignable main/monitor. The analog output panel provides external output terminals for main, sub, and monitor, as well as headphone and footswitch jacks.
Make Tracks
The MTR function, which incorporates TASCAM's extensive recording technology, is intuitive and easy to use, and recorded audio can be saved to an SD card as individual tracks (monaural WAV files), and can also be mixed down on the Model 24. Recorded WAV files can also be imported into your DAW for editing and mastering.
Live and Let DAW
Equipped with studio-quality microphone preamps, it can be used not only as an MTR but also as a high-quality USB audio interface. It allows simultaneous recording of 24 channels to a DAW, allowing you to record to an SD card and back up recordings in your DAW.
It also supports simultaneous playback of 22 channels from a DAW, allowing analog hardware mixing.
