ZEDi-8 combines a durable and easy-to-use analogue mixer with a versatile 2-in/2-out USB audio interface, making it the perfect model for musicians, recording artists and live venues. Whether you're at home, recording a live show, or recording a track for YouTube or Soundcloud, ZEDi-8 lets you create your own creative sound at every stage of the process.

Equipped with the newly designed GSPre preamp, based on the preamp section of the well-established GS-R24 recording console, it achieves exceptionally low noise performance and ample headroom, and its main feature is the warmth and depth of sound that is unique to analog mixers.

Guitarists will appreciate the Guitar DI high-impedance (Hi-Z) switch on mono inputs 1 and 2 (M1 and M2), allowing you to connect your guitar directly without the need for a DI box.

■Mixer + USB interface
ZEDi-8 is the best of both worlds: computer and tablet. Its built-in studio-quality 2-in/2-out, 24-bit/96kHz USB audio interface allows you to connect to a Mac, PC, or iOS device for audio recording and playback. The audio output from the USB port can be freely configured, allowing for flexibility in a wide range of situations. ZEDi-8 is also USB class compliant, so no drivers are required to connect to a Mac or iOS device.
*A separate camera connection kit is required to connect to an iOS device.

Cubase LE software included
ZEDi-8 comes with the acclaimed Cubase LE recording software. Cubase LE is music production software that makes it easy to record and edit audio, as well as MIDI sequencing and mixing. With a wide range of editing and sequencing tools, it's suitable for any style of music production. From recording vocals to recording a band in rehearsal, Cubase LE makes it easy to record and edit in high-quality audio.

■Cubasis LE mobile music production app The ZEDi-8 also comes bundled with the Cubasis LE app. Cubasis LE is a compact version of Steinberg's Cubase series, a multi-touch DAW for iPad that lets you record with the same look and feel as its higher-end Cubase predecessor. This music production app is designed for quick and easy operation.

ZEDi-8 features a new preamp design by analog design guru Mike Griffin, based on the preamp found in the acclaimed GS-R24 analog recording console. Named GSPre, it delivers exceptionally low noise performance, ample headroom, and the warmth and depth you expect from Allen & Heath analog mixers. For tone correction and shaping, the MusiQ EQ has been carefully tuned for responsiveness and precision, allowing you to easily adjust the sound of your input source.

■Tour-grade toughness
All ZED series models are designed and manufactured to Allen & Heath's unique tour-grade standards, ensuring long-term use in the harsh environments of touring. All channels have independent circuit boards mounted perpendicular to the panel, and knobs are attached using steel nuts that are highly resistant to impact damage.
