The ABLETON/Push2 is a controller that enables smooth music creation using Ableton Live.

Ableton Push 2 and Live work seamlessly together, offering the benefits of both hands-on hardware for creating music from scratch and full-featured software for refining and finishing your tracks.

■Features: Push 2 and Live work seamlessly together, allowing you to create beats, play notes and chords, process samples, and build song structures—all without looking at your computer screen.

Browse, preview, and load sounds for beat creation, and access Live's vast drum library. Manipulate beats live with 64 velocity-sensitive pads, and adjust sounds and kits while playing with the touch-sensitive endless encoder.

The pads are pitch-responsive and offer a streamlined layout that encourages a fresh approach to melody and harmony. A wide range of controls are easily accessible, and patterns can be played back using the same fingerings in any key. Keys and scales can be selected with a button touch, and pitch bend and modulation can be controlled using the Push touch slider.

You can also step-sequence notes and chords. Use the pads to input notes, make precise timing changes, create variations, and adjust note length and velocity. Furthermore, you can step-sequence automation. Record parameter values for each step to create parameter changes locked to specific notes within a loop.

In Slicing Mode, you can instantly chop up long samples and play each slice on different pads. This is ideal for rearranging loops on the fly or creating drum kits from recorded grooves. Classic Mode transforms melodic samples into playable tonal instruments. You can use encoders to define the start and end positions, as well as the attack, delay, sustain, and release of each.

■Main Features

• Hardware instrument for hands-on control of Ableton Live 9.5 and above • Playback and step sequencing of beats, notes, chords, and automation • New sampling workflow: slice, play, and manipulate samples from Push 2 • Large multi-color display that shows necessary information as needed • 64 backlit sensitive pads
• Eight touch-sensitive encoders to control the mixer, devices, and instruments, and navigate the Live browser. • Clip launch mode for convenient live performance and arrangement recording. • Scale mode offers a unique approach to playing notes and chords.
