High-quality video is easy to come by these days, but high-quality audio isn't always the same. With the smartphone in your pocket capable of shooting crisp 4K resolution video, wouldn't it be nice if audio quality could be just as good?
Introducing the MKE 200: Sennheiser's first step in enhancing sound quality.
Recording audio in noisy environments is no longer a problem. The directional microphone capsule enhances your voice's presence, and features like the built-in windscreen and shock mount ensure clearer audio than ever before. This compact and stylish microphone is compatible with your camera or smartphone, allowing you to capture high-quality audio for a variety of video shoots.
Enhance your sound quality with the brand trusted by audio professionals: MKE 200 - Get the job done!
Directional Audio
The MKE 200 features a supercardioid capsule for detailed audio capture while eliminating unwanted background noise. This directional microphone is ideal for videography and vlogging, enhancing the sound quality of in-camera recordings and ensuring high-quality audio recordings.
Compact cameras are generally susceptible to noise, so the MKE 200 comes equipped with windscreen and shock absorption as standard. The combination of these two features ensures the clearest possible audio, even when shooting video on the move. Attaching the included synthetic hair windshield maximizes wind protection.
●Compatibility: Today, people often shoot videos using a variety of devices, so it's convenient to be able to use a microphone across all devices. The MKE 200 comes with both a 3.5 mm (1/8 in) TRS cable and a TRRS cable, so it can be used with DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, mobile devices, and more.
- Directional microphone for independent in-camera sound enhancement - Stylish, streamlined, and compact design - Windscreen and internal shock mount combination minimizes noise during operation - Switch between 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) TRS and TRRS cables for compatibility with DSLR, mirrorless, and mobile devices - Versatile standard cold shoe mount - Battery-free design
If you're a content creator or vlogger, you understand video, but audio probably wasn't something you considered when buying a camera. Audio is often overlooked. Here's why...
●Audio quality is more important than you might think.
It's well known that in today's digital media world, it's easier to watch content with poor video quality than with poor audio quality. After all, audio is what sends a message and tells a story. If a video has poor audio quality, viewers are more likely to skip it because they can't hear what's being said. Additionally, the vast majority of social media content is viewed on mobile devices, where anything above 720p is nearly indistinguishable. This means that lower-resolution content looks fine on a smaller screen. Unfortunately, the same doesn't hold true for audio, even when displayed on a smaller screen. This is why it's important to make sure your voice is clear.
●An upgrade is expected...
Most cameras sold today (even TVs) have microphones and speakers, but they leave something to be desired. This is because manufacturers expect you to upgrade the audio as an additional purchase, partly to keep costs down, but mainly because they focus on image quality, not sound quality. This, in a way, causes most electronics manufacturers to overlook the importance of audio. This is actually an opportunity.
Not an acoustics expert? No need to worry.
You don't need to be an audio engineer to improve your audio quality. In most cases, all you need is a directional microphone with some great features to help enhance your audio, boost your production values, and set your content apart from the rest.
Having great audio quality may be more important than you thought, but at the same time, it may be more achievable than you thought. When you're ready to upgrade your audio, make sure you do so with a brand the pros trust. Now, create content! Be bold and, above all, get heard.
