Description
Description
The sE X1R is a new, high-performance passive ribbon microphone designed for a wide range of applications, including guitar cabinets, drum overheads, brass, woodwinds, strings, commercial broadcasts, and voice-overs. The X1's cutting-edge ribbon element, surrounded by a top-grade neodymium magnet, incorporates the latest in SE ribbon microphone technology.
Combining traditional ribbon technology with some of the mechanical elements of our patented Voodoo Microphone HF (High Frequency) extension technology, the SE X1 R delivers a classic ribbon microphone sound with a more gradual high end. The SE X1 R lacks the full frequency response of the Voodoo VR1/VR2 or the SE Rupert Neve RNR1. However, by blending both new and old technologies, the X1 R achieves a more natural and beautiful ribbon sound. This makes it a versatile and easy-to-use ribbon microphone. By sharing the chassis and design of the best-selling sE X1, the sE X1 R is a fraction of the cost of other boutique brand microphones. This allows for an entry-level price while maintaining the handmade quality you expect from SE. The X1 R is the perfect choice for your first ribbon microphone. For those new to ribbon microphones, it's a great addition to your collection, expanding your selection of character.
