Description

Recommended second-hand item!
We have a highly recommended pre-owned 2002 1968 Les Paul Custom Authentic in stock! It's been refinished in a yellow-tinged Classic Vintage White finish that evokes the rock spirit. The pickups have been swapped from '57 Classics to Lindy Fralin Humbackers, and various other parts have been replaced, making this a highly modified pre-owned model!

The Les Paul Custom, the guitar of choice for men!
Standard isn't good enough! It has to be custom! The Les Paul Custom is a model so beloved that even the most enthusiastic custom fans can be heard saying, "I can't get it!"

Although production of the Les Paul Custom ceased around 1960, it regained popularity in the late 1960s when it was seen in the hands of top musicians. Production finally resumed in 1968, along with the Standard. While retaining the design from 1960, the body construction was revised, adopting a plain maple top and mahogany back, and changing from the three humbuckers prevalent in the 1950s to a two-humbucker configuration. The result was simple operability and a sound character with a very distinct, edgy character even when distorted, which is now known as the signature tone of the Les Paul Custom.

The shiny fretboard with block inlays features ebony and a one-piece mahogany neck wood. The now-rare ebony fretboard produces a sharper, tighter sound than a standard LP, and even when the gain is increased, it produces a masculine tone with good projection, without sounding too crushed, as is typical of HM/HR guitars! It's also popular with those who enjoy hard-edged distortion!

This time, we have a recommended used item in stock: a 1968 Les Paul Custom Authentic made in 2002!
This guitar was originally in Classic Vintage White, but has been refinished in a yellowed Classic Vintage White finish, reminiscent of the RR. This pre-owned, modified model has had all of its parts and pickups replaced!

The pickups have been replaced with Lindy Fralin Humbackers from the original '57 Classics. While there is no pickup name on the back, they are presumably Pure PAFs. The pickup covers are gold, but the plating on the top has been removed.
The Pure PAF pickup is based on the vintage PAF pickup found in Gibson guitars of the 1950s. It features a low-output magnet, emphasizing sensitivity, high-frequency clarity, and sustain, perfectly capturing the sonic characteristics of the vintage PAF. The sensitivity and separation that come with low output are advantages hard to find in today's modern humbuckers. It perfectly responds to expressive playing that makes the most of picking dynamics, and its clarity ranks among the best of all humbuckers. Its perceptually bright and lively sound perfectly masks its low output. It maintains a superb balance between clean and crunch tones! The pots have been replaced with 2016 CTS models, and the capacitors have been replaced with Bumblebee replicas.

The nut has been replaced with a brass one. The tuning pegs have also been replaced with Schaller Rotomatic types. The original screw holes have been filled and painted. The toggle switch, back panel, control panel, and jack plate have been replaced with metal ones. The control knobs have also been replaced from sombrero types to speed knobs. The endpin has been replaced with a Schaller lock pin. (The endpin receiving part is not included. The original pickups and parts are not included.)

The condition of this guitar is good, with some minor scratches, dull paint, dirt, scratches on the pickguard, and some dull parts, but none of these affect playability. It has been fully maintained and cleaned at our shop, so it's a recommended guitar that's ready to play right away.

The frets are in good condition and are still in good condition with about 85% remaining.
The nut is in good condition and can be used as is. The truss rod can be adjusted normally.

The electrical system has been fully checked and there are no problems with operation.
It weighs approximately 4.77 kg, and is balanced to produce a solid sound.

This guitar stands out with its yellowish Classic Vintage White color that evokes the rock spirit!
