Description
Description
We have taken on the responsibility of selling rare and precious items from the Heritage Series, which would later become the foundation for reissues and the Historic Collection.
The maple top/mahogany back body is set with a three-piece mahogany neck. The finish appears to have been previously refinished, but age and use have given it a dignified presence. The bridge pickup, pots, and capacitors have been replaced, but this has not affected the sound image. The high-quality wood material complements this instrument, resulting in a rich, fat, and expansive tone. Experience the sound of this instrument, a tribute to Gibson's long history, in store.
In terms of condition, this guitar is in player's condition, with the aforementioned refinishing and part replacement, as well as dents, scratches, tarnished and rusted parts, cracked paint, and a cracked pickup escutcheon. While there are no current issues with playability, including the truss rod and electronics, the frets are generally very low, with only about 30% remaining, making it a fretless wonder. There is no room for further fret-tuning, so if you are looking for improved playability and accurate intonation, we recommend fret replacement. The Heritage Series has become scarce and expensive on the used market in recent years, so we hope you will consider this opportunity.
*Please be aware that as this is a consignment item, the frets are not covered by the warranty.
