momose Custom Craft Guitar IKEBE ORIGINAL
Based on Momose's modern JM style "MJM," Ikebe has created a custom model decorated with a design based on autumn leaves, which are synonymous with autumn in Japan!
The body top is made of maple, a traditional Japanese wood. It is classified as hard maple, combining hardness with an elegant appearance. However, it is also known to be difficult to work with, and this model was made possible by the skilled techniques of the Asuka factory.
The body back is made of two pieces of alder, and the color is a subdued brown-based Autumn Burst finish with a matching headstock (the headstock and body are the same color). The headstock, pickguard, and fingerboard inlays feature a design inspired by autumn leaves.
This is a very limited production model, so don't miss out on this opportunity!
◆Momose Original Series 『MJM』
The original model "MJM" inherits the traditional JM style but has been given Momose's own unique brush-up.
Each guitar is handcrafted by artisans at the Asuka factory, from woodworking to painting and assembly. The high level of playability resulting from this exquisite craftsmanship has earned the support of top players both in Japan and overseas, and the guitars offer the unwavering quality you expect from a product made in Japan.
◆Recessed processing of joint plateWhile using an orthodox plate joint to avoid compromising the traditional sound characteristics, the plate part is recessed to also improve playability.
◆Wood binding to prevent fingerboard problemsThe sides of the fingerboard are bound with wood made from the same material as the fingerboard.
This not only makes the sides of the fingerboard very smooth, but also prevents problems such as fret burrs from popping out.
◆Wide rod adjustment The uniquely shaped headstock features a wide adjustment hole that allows for smooth neck adjustment.
The shape is also wider to make adjustments easier.
◆Mojotone Clone '59 pickup
The pickups are hand-wired "Mojotone" pickups manufactured in North Carolina, USA. They also handle OEM orders for over 250 brands, and are highly acclaimed for their distinctive vintage feel.
The Clone '59 pickup was created by testing numerous vintage Jazz Master pickups and selecting the '59 model that had the most remarkable sound. The model was then disassembled and studied, including the coil winding and tension, to recreate its captivating tone.
The reverse-wound, reverse-polarity design provides a hum-canceling effect that reduces noise when mixing.
