~~~~~The following is the product description for a new item.~~~~~
Prestige AZ Series
◆Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge
The GOTOH 510 bridge, widely regarded by many players and guitar brands as the definitive tremolo bridge, has been reborn through a collaboration between Ibanez and GOTOH.
Featuring a hard, machined titanium saddle and machined steel inertia block, this guitar achieves both excellent attack and a solid, fat sound, while also boasting extended high frequencies. The 10.5mm narrow string spacing design prioritizes ease of picking across strings, a feature demanded by players who frequently use skipping and hybrid picking techniques.
Furthermore, it features an arm socket that allows the use of Ibanez Edge tremolo arms and ultra-light tremolo arms (carbon fiber/UTA20/sold separately). Unlike conventional arms that require twisting, the arm can be attached with a snap-in mechanism. The torque of the tremolo arm can be easily adjusted by rotating the torque cap on the arm mounting part. In addition, it comes standard with a stud lock mechanism that firmly secures the studs with grub screws embedded in them, greatly contributing to tuning stability and resonance. It employs a two-point floating support system that allows for smooth arming and arm-up.
◆dyna-MIX 10 switching system w/Alter switch
With a single flick of a mini-switch, you can freely switch between humbucker and single-coil modes, ensuring a wide range of sound variations. This switching system is ideal for modern guitar players who need to perform multiple roles with limited equipment.
○Alter switch
HH model…Switches to Power Tap mode, which delivers a realistic single-coil sound. One coil is tapped, and the other coil's low frequencies are enhanced with special wiring, resulting in a clear high-frequency range and a thick, well-defined sound that cannot be achieved with simple tapping.
◆Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups
We obtained dozens of different pickups and measured the frequency characteristics of all of them. From these, we determined the specifications and sound image of the pickup that we thought was best suited for the AZ, and created this AZ-exclusive pickup in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, a pickup brand with a long history and a reputation for continuing to innovate. Designed with a focus on picking responsiveness and reproduction, the output is kept relatively low so that some of the original clean tone remains even when distorted. We prioritized the overall balance, from treble to bass, and the resonance of each string from the 1st to the 6th, and also pursued good effect compatibility. All magnets are made of Alnico-5.
◆S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple Fretboard
With the goal of ensuring that the strings don't get muffled even with wide-ranging bends, and that chord work doesn't cause stress on the fingers or hands, we incorporated several challenges, including the combination with the neck, into several prototypes and arrived at this 305mmR fingerboard after much trial and error.
◆AZ Oval C S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple neck
The fretboard and neck are made of maple wood treated with S-Tech technology. S-Tech treatment is a nitrogen heat treatment technology for wood developed in Miyagi Prefecture, and this is the world's first use of it for guitar materials.
Estec Wood possesses characteristics such as shape stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes, and these characteristics have earned it a patent in Japan.
After numerous prototypes and tests, we concluded that a neck thickness of 20.5 x 22.5 mm (at 1st fret x 12th fret) is optimal. Furthermore, we've adopted an oil finish that mimics the texture of a well-played guitar neck.
◆An ergonomic body back contour
This is an original body shape designed with a contemporary aesthetic in mind.
The thin body contour and large elbow contour create a sense of unity between the player and the guitar, greatly contributing to improved playability. The deeper waist of the body also improves handling when held and on stage, resulting in superior playability. The different radius of the corners on the front and back of the body create an ergonomic design that feels comfortable the moment you pick up the guitar, whether sitting or standing.
◆Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads w/HAP(Height Adjustable Post)
It features GOTOH Magnum Lock machine heads, which are renowned for their tuning stability.
It features a HAP (Height Adjustable Post) mechanism, allowing you to adjust the post height and achieve the appropriate tension for each string.
◆Luminlay side dot inlay
These 3.0mm diameter phosphorescent dot position markers offer high visibility, adapting to the rapidly changing performance environment due to lighting and other factors. You'll never lose sight of the notes you want to play, even on a dark stage.
◆Super All Access Neck Joint
The Super All Access neck joint features a stepped carving on the back of the body with an 8mm height difference, and the neck joint is finished with a spherical surface to achieve superior playability.
The cutaway on the bass string side is designed to be shallower, maximizing the contact area between the body and neck. This achieves both high playability and excellent sustain and resonance.
