The HPC-26QUAD headphone cable features a silk-inserted, four-core star-quad structure to maximize the sound of Oyaide Electric's precision conductor, the 102 SSC. Its superior electrical properties make it a truly exceptional headphone cable. Since its initial release exclusively at Oyaide Electric stores, the cable has garnered widespread praise from DIY enthusiasts for its clear, three-dimensional sound, with many traveling from overseas to purchase it. To ensure that this sound, endorsed by end users, reaches even more people, we carefully selected headphone jacks from a wide selection of excellent headphones and developed the HPC-QUAD Series headphone cable. The highly transparent urethane sheath allows for flexible handling, and the HPC-QUAD Series premium headphone cable combines the superior qualities of silk with cutting-edge technology.
The first in the new series will be a lineup that supports the 3.5mm stereo jack, which is the most popular option for detachable cable headphones.
With its star-quad structure and excellent electrical characteristics, the HPC-26QUAD will continue to demonstrate its full potential in the upcoming HPC-QUAD Series, and will be one way to bring your headphones closer to their ideal.
●Uses Oyaide Electric's pride and joy, the audio-grade copper wire "Precision Conductor 102 SSC." By performing an electric annealing process based on optimal temperature and time adjustments, the drawn wire achieves a conductivity of 102.3% IACS.
The insulation material is made of polyester elastomer, which has high elasticity and insulating properties, and provides stress-free protection between the wires, which are composed of 0.13sq x 4 cores.
●Uses a 3.5mm stereo plug that is compatible with various detachable headphones.By using a long-neck 3.5mm plug, it is also compatible with jacks located in recessed locations, such as the SONY MDR-1A.
It can also be used to connect wireless headphones with a 3.5mm stereo jack.
●Excellent electrical characteristics of the cable: Capacitance: 208pF/m, Conductor resistance: 143.0mΩ/m, low values, and maintains excellent characteristics even in the long 3.0m lineup.
●Silk interlayer that absorbs electrostatic induction noiseThe interlayer uses 100% pure silk filament, which has the lowest dielectric constant of all fiber materials, which absorbs electrostatic induction noise that occurs between wires and significantly suppresses static electricity.
Various 4-core star-quad structure cables
In the single-ended lineup, two of the four cores are connected to each of the left and right channels.
By reducing the conductor resistance, the reproducibility of positioning and center of gravity is improved.
*The upcoming double-sided lineup (release date to be determined) will use a star-quad structure and connect two cores to each of the left and right channels, allowing for +/- balanced connections.
●The high-density silver-plated OFC braided shield single-ended lineup with a braiding rate of 97% has a shield layer with a conductor cross-sectional area equivalent to AWG #20 wired to GND.
The shield is made of pure silver-plated Type 1 OFC, and is a high-density braid with a shielding rate of 97%, blocking out external noise.
●Highly flexible and durable ultra-clear polyurethane sheathThe outer sheath is covered with a highly transparent double urethane sheath, and the inside is covered with a soft urethane sheath to ensure flexibility.
