The rare ORIGIN EFFECTS Black Edition is back with an expanded lineup!
If you're a guitarist who's impressed, don't miss this opportunity!
A tone shaping and drive pedal that recreates the legendary studio console "UA 610" with a design optimized for guitar!
FROM SUBTLE TO SATURATED, A STUDIO-GRADE TONE-ENHANCER
The DCX Boost is a tone-shaping and drive pedal designed and inspired by the legendary UA 610 studio console.
This retro console's preamps are renowned not only for their vintage analog color but also for their precise and accurate EQ and level control, and DCX Boost delivers this same EQ and level control, along with the rich harmonic saturation of analog hardware that's a must-have in modern studios.
DCX Boost also features an adaptive circuit that provides treble response that reacts to the dynamics of your playing.
With two modes, EQ and OD, DCX Boost offers a wide range of gain, from clean boost and subtle coloration to almost fuzz-like tones reminiscent of overloading a retro recording console, all with the ability to stay completely flat across the frequency spectrum, just like a good recording preamp.
In EQ mode, an adaptive circuit keeps the top-end response completely flat for clean tones while increasing the subtle treble roll-off as you start to overdrive. This works in response to your playing dynamics and changes in your guitar's volume knob, seamlessly transitioning between warm overdriven tones and sparkling cleans.
In OD mode, this top-end roll-off is always active, regardless of signal level or playing dynamics.
The VOICE switch allows you to select from three different amounts of treble roll-off, allowing you to fine-tune the DCX Boost response.
The LF and HF knobs provide precise control over the bass and treble frequencies of an EQ designed specifically for electric guitar. These controls are specifically designed to provide powerful EQ shaping without sacrificing low-end clarity or overemphasizing high-frequency harmonics.
Boost bass without muddying the sound, or boost treble without exaggerating the harsh edge of an overdriven signal. Perfect for fine-tuning clean boosts or creating unique overdriven tones, balancing them with your guitar.
Tone shaping and drive pedal inspired by the legendary UA 610 studio console. Offers a wide range of versatile gain. EQ controls designed for maximum clarity. Adaptive circuitry responds to the dynamics of your playing. Voice control for fine-tuning treble response. Ultra-high input impedance. Premium components. Made in England.
