Description

The LPD Fifty5 pays tribute to the great American tweed amplifiers of the 1950s, some of the most recorded in history.

The clear layout gives you quick access to great tone. Level, Drive, and Tone controls, along with Voice and HDRM toggle switches, allow you to tailor your tone to suit various guitar and amp setups. Low, mid, and high output are all within your control. The Voice toggle works in conjunction with the Tone control to adjust low-mids and bass. The HDRM toggle switches between high and low headroom and works in conjunction with the Drive control to adjust the drive of your power amp.

The Fifty5 is a guitar overdrive pedal designed and manufactured by LPD Pedals. Named after 1955, a year known as a turning point in guitar amplifier development, this pedal is specifically designed to emulate the sound and feel of 1950s tweed amplifiers, known for their warm, dynamic, and harmonically rich overdrive tones.

The Fifty5 features three simple controls: Volume, Tone, and Gain. The Volume knob controls the overall output level of the pedal, the Tone knob adjusts the tone of the overdrive, and the Gain knob adjusts the amount of distortion and saturation added to your guitar signal.

Additionally, two toggle switches allow for further tonal adjustments. The Voice toggle switch provides two different EQ curves that affect the overall tone of the pedal. The first setting provides a mid-emphasized overdrive tone, while the second setting provides a balanced EQ curve with more high-frequency emphasis. The HDRM (Headroom) switch controls the headroom of the entire circuit. The "Low" setting provides a more compressed, saturated overdrive sound, while the "High" setting provides a more dynamic, open overdrive sound.

The pedal uses high-quality components and true bypass, meaning it won't colorate your clean guitar signal when the pedal is off. The pedal runs on a standard 9V DC power supply.

The Fifty5 is designed to deliver a smooth, natural overdrive sound that responds to your touch and dynamics. It faithfully reproduces the warmth, touch sensitivity, and harmonic overtones of classic tweed amps, while offering players a more compact and versatile overdrive sound.

Overall, the Fifty5 is a great choice for guitar players looking for a high-quality overdrive pedal that emulates the sound and feel of classic tweed amps from the 1950s.

Four toggle switch settings allow you to explore a variety of tweed tones. With low headroom and reduced bass (lower voice), you can crank up the volume for a powerful drive like a Tweed Champ, increase the voice for a Tweed Deluxe vibe, or increase the headroom for a Tweed Bassman tone. The cabinet is finished in 1955 Chevy Blue matte finish and includes a custom LPD knob.
