Description

Introducing Topanga, a spring reverb pedal based on the legendary Fender 6G15 outboard spring reverb unit!
We've captured all the drip, flutter, clunk, clang, and splash of the original tube-and-spring unit in a tiny pedal format! Outboard spring reverb units are the sound of surf guitar and many other great guitar sounds from the '60s. Part of their magic, and what sets them apart from the built-in spring reverbs found in most Fender-style amps, is that by running them in front of the amp, the reverb signal distorts and becomes more intense than built-in circuits can. It also features a Dwell knob, which controls how hard the springs hit the guitar signal, and a Tone knob, which gives you more control over the reverb sound. And because it's essentially a tube preamp, you can color the sound going into the amp. All of this adds up to a very distinctive reverb sound that's difficult to replicate. But we at Catalinbread had to try!
And I think we did!
In addition to the classic three-knob control of the original, we've added a fantastic discrete preamp controlled by the Volume knob, giving you just the right amount of clean boost when you need it.

Power: Topanga operates from 9-18V using a standard DC center negative power supply for pedals.
Make sure you're using a power supply that provides at least 100mA, 9V will also provide sufficient sound.
But if you want even more power, more headroom and a healthier boost to your dry signal, try going up to 18V!
Topanga does not run on batteries.
Current consumption: 100mA

Controls: VOLUME, MIX, TONE, DWELL
Internal control: Buff.TB switching
