Description

This is the new 2025 version of the overdrive FOUNTAIN, which was released in 2016.

The previous version was well-received for its warm, transparent distortion and natural overdrive, but the new version offers even more headroom and transparency, the TONE control produces a brilliant top end, and the GAIN control, in combination with PRE GAIN, allows for a wide variety of drive characters.

This one unit lets you enjoy everything from glassy clean and crunch to smooth long-tone overdrive.

The difference from the previous version is that the popular SG and MO settings are now fixed, but instead the newly added PRE GAIN, FAT, and CLIP switches have expanded the range of variation within the fixed mode.

The FAT and CLIP switches are linked to the PRE GAIN, allowing for fine adjustments similar to those made by connecting a booster or OD pedal in front of the signal.

Another new feature is the internal 30V boost, which also improves the basic sound.
*Batteries cannot be used.

Main Controls:
As basic controls, the three large knobs are considered the main controls.

GAIN: Controls the amount of distortion.
VOLUME: Controls the volume.
TONE: Controls the amount of high frequencies.

Sub-controls:
The small PRE GAIN knob in the center and the two push-push switches on the top of the housing are considered sub-controls.
All of these sub-controls are related to the pre-gain section (the first part of the circuit).

PRE GAIN: Controls the gain before it enters the main drive circuit.

CLIP: Enables the clipper in the PRE GAIN section, allowing you to add distortion in the PRE GAIN section as well.

CLIP on ⇒ Turning up the PRE GAIN knob mainly increases distortion.
Recommended for those aiming for an atmosphere similar to that of distortion, DMBL (high gain), KLN (high gain), and MS pedals.

CLIP OFF ⇒ Turning up the PRE GAIN knob increases the volume input to the main drive circuit. This increases distortion in the main drive circuit, but also increases the proportion of the original sound component.
Transparent, TS, DMBL (low gain), KLN (low gain)
Recommended if you are aiming for an atmosphere similar to the pedals mentioned above.

FAT: Gives the signal amplified in the PRE GAIN section a fat character.

FAT ON -> By fattening up the signal before it is distorted by the main drive section, the low mids are enriched, resulting in a drive character that is easy to connect and perfect for leads.

FAT OFF ⇒ A straightforward drive character that responds sensitively to guitar input.
