VOX FUEL INJECTOR [VE-FI] (Overdrive)

An overdrive featuring the characteristic response of a vacuum tube, rich harmonics, and organic distortion.

This overdrive pedal is unobtrusive, rich in overtones, and offers a natural sense of compression and bite. As an overdrive pedal conceived by VOX, an amp manufacturer, it offers amp-like distortion, rather than typical pedal-like distortion. Unlike pedals that add color like a preamp, this pedal distorts the sound naturally with the Nutube, creating a tone that sounds like the connected amp is being further distorted. Compared to many drive pedals, including TS pedals, this pedal boasts an overwhelming amount of harmonic content, with a distinctly tube amp-like compression feel. The overtones created by distorting the Nutube in multiple stages, just like a tube amp, and the sticky tone created by the TUBE's unique bias fluctuations create a distinctive amp-like tone. These characteristics allow this pedal to produce a satisfying drive sound when used with a clean amp setting.
The FUEL INJECTOR adds a "stickiness" to the sound, allowing it to lift even when choking, so the player's expression is fully conveyed. It's effective whether you're driving this unit with a clean amp or using it as a booster for a crunchy amp.
To create an original VOX distortion pedal, we carefully voicinged it, aiming for an overdrive that is unlike anything else in the world.We recommend this unit to both those who are unsure which distortion effect pedal to choose, and players who already have a favorite distortion pedal.
