Old Blood Noise Endeavors, a band that continues to actively fight against the existential concept of "time," has released the BL-44 Reverse, an ambitious product that redefines "reverse playback" in effects pedals. Expanding on the reverse functionality featured in the company's MINIM, the BL-44 Reverse pedal breaks new ground in reverse playback effects by incorporating a clock control that allows you to vary the processing speed of the entire pedal.
The BL-44 is a true reverse effect, constantly reading what's being played and playing it backwards, but the Clock slider and Speed control allow for versatile tuning. Depending on the settings, the possibilities are vast, from lush, chirping harmonies to hazy, fading soundscapes. Its emphasis on instantaneous, tactile textures guarantees an unforgettable experience. You'll want to keep the pedal close at hand and never take your fingers off the controls.
Features: Clock control changes the overall behavior of the effect. Fader operation can change the signal from high-fidelity sound to noise, slow and low resolution, or impressive blurring and fading.
The Speed knob determines the readout speed of the reverse effect. Reverse playback can be varied to octave down, 5th down, 4th down, unison, 4th up, 5th up, or octave up, creating a beautiful, chirping sound. Depending on the setting, unexpected repeats or dropouts may occur in the playback.
