Jay Rocket Audio Designs, a high-end effects brand from California, USA, has released El Hombre, an overdrive pedal that can be used in a wide range of genres.
El Hombre was developed with the goal of capturing the superior guitar overdrive sound of Billy Gibbons, guitarist of the Texas band ZZ Top, in his early 1970s work. The Bite control dramatically changes the drive style, delivering a wide range of tones that cover a wide range of genres, from blues and rock to fusion and jazz. El Hombre is an incredibly well-balanced overdrive pedal that inspires creativity in any musical style, allowing for versatile sound-making with simple controls.
Like the existing Tour Series, this unit features a durable metal housing and is extremely compact. The input and output jacks are all located on the back, so no extra space is required when using multiple effects in a row. Power can be supplied from a 9V battery or a power supply (sold separately). It also features a true bypass design that outputs the signal without passing through unnecessary circuits when the effect is turned off.
