Description
SPACEREFLECTION S.
ROOMS is a multi-function digital reverb pedal that covers everything from searing volume, swirling gated walls of sound, and endless reverberant ambience.
Equipped with simple and intuitive controls designed for ease of use during live performances, it allows you to freely manipulate unparalleled dynamic effects.
ROOMS are designed for ultimate flexibility and resolution.
The six built-in reverb algorithms - ROOM/DIGIT/PEAK/GATE/WAVE/GONG - are all meticulously designed to allow you to explore a vast sound on a galactic level.
It is then sent to a studio-quality mixer section with independent DRY and FX level controls.
Furthermore, the unique I/O configuration and dual mono dry signal lines allow for a wide range of input/output setups, including parallel outputs and routing for stereo amplifiers.
High-quality stereo reverb for controlling the vastness of the universe
ROOMS is a multi-function reverb pedal equipped with six different algorithms, and is DBA's first digital pedal to use DSP.
It produces an intense and crazy sound that sets it apart from ordinary reverb pedals, but its meticulous design also gives it the versatility to cover standard and high-quality ambiences.
All six built-in reverb algorithms feature DBA's signature tone design.
It invites you on an endless tonal adventure, like exploring an infinite galaxy.
Furthermore, the ALT switch allows you to seamlessly switch between the two settings as if "morphing," allowing you to express emotions like you've never experienced before.
This also engages the expression pedal, giving you hands-free control over time and space. Your setup will be enveloped in cosmo.
The output mixer section was developed in collaboration with pedal builder Electronic Audio Experiments.
It has an enormous gain adjustment range that is unheard of for a reverb pedal (DRY/FX volume can be adjusted up to 20x!), and can output a crystal clear, studio-quality signal in any environment.
It supports stereo input/output and can be flexibly adapted to a variety of setups.
This unprecedented reverb pedal was born from DBA founder Oliver Ackerman's obsessive belief in reverb effects.
From standard room ambience to dizzying pitch modulation, the shimmering of outer space aurora, bit-crushing daydreams, suffocating peak filters, and distant supernova explosions, this is the one to control the vastness of the universe.
■ 6 modes and parameters
ROOMS comes with six specially designed reverb algorithms.
The FREQ and DEPTH knobs change parameters depending on the selected algorithm.
1 - ROOM
FREQ: Decay Tone
DEPTH: Pre-Delay Classic room ambience reverb that recreates the reverberation of rooms of various shapes and sizes.
2 - Digit
FREQ: Delay time
DEPTH: Delay Feedback. A filter matrix reverb that combines otherworldly levels of resonance and chaotic repeats.
3 - PEAK
FREQ: Filter frequency
DEPTH: Filter Resonance. Extremely intense bandpass filter + ambient reverb.
4 - GATE
FREQ: Decay Tone
DEPTH: A gated reverb that stands in your way like a wall of gate response time. Short reverb settings create a classic gate sound, while longer settings act as a freeze effect with variable texture control.
5 - WAVE
FREQ: Modulation frequency
DEPTH: Modulation depth pitch vibrato swirling modulation reverb. Lowering TIME removes the reverb signal, allowing for settings ranging from chorus and vibrato to frenzied modulation.
6 - GONG
FREQ: Modulator frequency
DEPTH: Bit Crush (left) Ring Modulation (right)
A blend of bit crushing and ring modulation creates a crashing reverb that is so beautiful it seems unreal.
A sound sure to star in a sci-fi movie, guaranteed to rule the galaxy.
■ Control
FREQ: Sets different frequency parameters depending on the selected mode.
DEPTH: Sets different depth parameters depending on the selected mode.
TIME: Sets the reverb time, from short reverb to cosmic levels that control the galaxy.
DRY: Sets the volume of the dry signal. Settings range from -inf to 20x!
FX: Sets the volume of the reverb signal. Settings range from -inf to 20x!
ALT: Activates ALT mode, with FREQ controlled by the F knob, DEPTH controlled by the D knob, and TIME controlled by the T knob. This creates a unique effect in which the settings change gradually, creating a "morphing" effect, rather than switching instantly. The expression pedal is also enabled, allowing you to select and control FREQ or TIME using the switch next to the pedal.
■Connection
The ROOMS feature two input/output jacks, allowing for a wide range of setups.
By making full use of the stereo output, you can obtain a cosmic sound that dominates the universe.
・If you connect an input to IN R mono only, dry sound and reverb will be output from both OUT L/R.
- The IN L input outputs the dry sound and reverberant sound separately to OUT L/R.
- The effect sounds are output in a waterfall-like sequence, allowing you to enjoy a vast stereo sound on a galactic level.
■Expression pedal compatible Almost all standard expression pedals can be used.
The expression pedal can only operate the F or T knob when ALT mode is enabled.
There is a switch on the side of the pedal that can be switched between F and T, allowing you to select the parameter assigned to the expression pedal.
