Roland's sampling pad, beloved by drummers and percussionists worldwide, has been reborn with even more refined performance capabilities. Its lightweight and compact body packs professional-quality playability and sampling functionality. It's a powerful percussion pad that brings new possibilities to your drumming, or a live sampler that expands the expressive range of your band. It's a versatile instrument that excels in a wide range of musical scenes. It delivers exceptional performance capabilities.

- 9-surface pad with LED indicators, making it easy to play even on a dark stage.
- 4GB of built-in memory allows for up to approximately 12 hours of sampling (mono).
- Equipped with a new multi-pad sampling function that allows you to sample one after another as you hit the pads.
- Equipped with three multi-effects, including a master effect that can produce tone changes in real time.
- Powerful connection to a PC via USB. Sample management software is included as standard.

●The latest sampling pad with improved playability for live performances.
The SPD-SX features six large pads with a comfortable feel, as well as three edge triggers that are easy to target with the shoulder of a stick. When samples are playing, the LED indicators on each pad light up, allowing you to check the pad's position and status while playing, even on a dark stage. Kit names and other information are clearly displayed on the large, backlit LCD panel. Essential performance information is readily available at a glance, allowing for comfortable real-time performance. Designed with stage presence in mind, the sides of the unit are made of sharp, textured aluminum. The bold black base with vibrant red lines separating the pads adds to the timeless design.

●Equipped with carefully selected specifications to meet the needs of professionals.
The SPD-SX was designed for full professional use, with attention to detail evident in every specification. Its rugged body can withstand the rigors of touring and other demanding conditions, and it features 4GB of built-in memory. It offers up to approximately 12 hours of mono sampling at CD-quality (16-bit/44.1kHz) audio. Backup data is also possible via USB memory. In addition to the master output, it also features a sub-out, allowing you to output only the sound of a specified pad, or to output the click signal exclusively to the headphone output. The panel also features a dedicated volume knob and start button for the click, enabling intuitive operation on stage. It also features a trigger input that can connect up to four pads, allowing you to expand your system by adding more pads.

●Multi-pad sampling so you never miss an inspiration.
For drummers and percussionists, instant inspiration is a precious commodity. However, if you spend too much time on the sampling process itself, you won't be able to fully utilize your performance ideas. That's why the SPD-SX features a multi-pad sampling function that allows you to sample intuitively by simply hitting the pads with a stick. Simply input a music source, and samples are automatically assigned to the pads, allowing you to play them instantly without any complicated setup. The sampling method itself has been optimized for drummers and percussionists, allowing you to easily try out ideas and turn them into reality. You'll never miss an important inspiration again.

●Three multi-effects that produce real-time tone changes.
Multi-effects, which allow you to freely change the tone, are an essential feature for live performances using a sampler. The SPD-SX features three multi-effects: two that can be assigned per kit, plus a final master effect. Switch between effects using the four panel buttons—FILTER, DELAY, S.LOOP (short looper), and FX—and then simply turn the two control knobs. Designed for ease of use in live performances, you can also assign any multi-effect to FX. Simple and intuitive operation allows for richly varied and effective performances.

Connect to your computer via USB. Manage samples with the included software.
Connecting to a computer via USB allows the SPD-SX to be used even more flexibly. USB audio support allows direct sampling of computer playback. Sounds from web browsers and media players (video/music) can be directly imported, greatly expanding sampling flexibility. The included software, "SPD-SX Wave Manager" (compatible with both Windows and Mac), allows you to import audio data (WAV/AIFF) from your computer into the SPD-SX. In addition to importing, you can also manage samples by assigning samples to pads, renaming them, and grouping them. What's more, USB MIDI support allows you to use the SPD-SX as a MIDI input pad for music production software, fully utilizing its capabilities in music production.
