-TD-30 Drum Sound Module-
Roland's unique Behavior Modeling Technology reproduces even the behavior of the instrument.
The rich expressiveness of SuperNATURAL, born from this technology, will take V-Drums to the next level.
The TD-30 is the flagship model of Roland's V-Drums sound source, created by bringing together all of the company's cutting-edge technology.
Equipped with the newly developed "V-Drums SuperNATURAL sound engine," it also has enhanced basic performance, such as USB MIDI functionality and song player functionality, which expands the range of uses for electronic drums.
It's also thoroughly improved for ease of use, with features like a dedicated ambience fader and a highly visible display. It fully meets the most demanding drummers' demands, enabling natural, expressive drumming in both live performances and recordings.
- Equipped with the ``V-Drums SuperNATURAL Sound Engine'' that delivers a comfortable playing feel and delicate, expressive sound.
- Equipped with 100 carefully selected preset kits that can instantly respond to a wide range of musical scenes.
- Equipped with a dedicated ambience fader that allows you to instantly control the reverberation sound.
- Supports audio file (WAV/MP3) playback and data backup via USB memory.
- USB MIDI function enables powerful integration with your computer, such as MIDI input into music production software.
- V Edit function that lets you create sounds freely and with a custom order feel.
[Direct connection to your computer via USB. Powerful for music production.]
The TD-30 offers advanced connectivity with your computer. The USB port on the back of the unit allows for simple connection with a single cable. USB MIDI support allows you to record your V-Drums performance directly into your music production software via MIDI. This allows you to freely change tones and phrases during the editing stage, something that's difficult to do with regular audio recording. This allows you to fully utilize the sounds, patterns, and fill-in ideas you've crafted with V-Edit, allowing you to create music to your heart's content.
[Supports music file playback and data backup via USB memory]
The song player function lets you play audio files stored on a USB flash drive. You can play along with songs, or use A-B repeat for practice. It's versatile, offering a wide range of uses, from playing backing tracks for bands and solo performances. You can also save up to 99 backups of your TD-30's complete settings to a USB flash drive. Customized kits and sounds can be easily managed, and data can be recalled smoothly from the USB flash drive.
[Equipped with the newly developed V-Drums SuperNATURAL sound engine]
Roland's Behavior Modeling Technology is the first to be used in a V-Drums setup. It accurately reflects your pad performance, including dynamics and hi-hat control, in the sound. It also reproduces the unique drum reaction, such as rapid hits and rolls, along with the reverberation characteristic of drums, resulting in a comfortable playing feel and a natural, expressive sound. This is the greatest feature of the TD-30, powered by the V-Drums SuperNATURAL sound engine.
[A performance feel and sound that will satisfy any drummer]
The TD-30 delivers ultra-fast response from strike to sound, with even greater resolution for tonal changes based on dynamics and strike position. The TD-30 models the behavior of drums during rapid succession, allowing you to perform press rolls, flams, paradiddles, rim shot fills, and more with a more natural feel than ever before.
For snare drums, it also supports the delicate playing techniques unique to snare drums, such as a smooth change in tone from head shots to rim shots, and tone changes that depend on the depth of the rim shot.
The hi-hat, which requires the most complex expression among drums, also boasts further refined performance capabilities. Its seamless transition from open to closed allows for stable half-open playing, as well as delicate control, such as a slightly open hi-hat or a pressed hi-hat with the pedal pressed firmly down from the closed position. The crash cymbal allows for powerful strikes as well as light touches. Furthermore, when performing swells or other repeated hits, the sound flows naturally and smoothly.
The ride cymbal's tone changes depending on the strength and striking position, producing the expressive sound that is unique to cymbals.
[A wide variety of tones and sound creation possibilities]
There are a total of 100 preset kits that can instantly adapt to a wide range of musical styles, including rock, jazz, and dance music. These kits offer more than just a wide variety of drum sounds; they also include sounds that expand the possibilities of electronic drums in real professional settings, such as recording sounds tuned in the control room of a recording studio and live sounds that can be heard in the audience seats at a live venue.
Each sound comes in a total of 1,100 varieties, including acoustic drums like kicks, snares, and cymbals, electronic drums, percussion, and effect sounds. By utilizing the V-Edit function, you can create over 20 million sound variations. Just like custom-ordering each drum, you can complete all the sound creation process, including the performance location, using only the TD-30. From selecting individual instruments like material, size, and tuning, to adjusting overhead microphones, room ambience, volume, and effects, you can customize the recording environment.
