Description
Description
The ATELIER Z is a favorite among many bassists, both professional and amateur, especially those who specialize in slap playing. Originally created as a signature model for leading Japanese bassist Tomohito Aoki, the ATELIER Z is a highly versatile active bass guitar with a wide user base, both professional and amateur, thanks to its high level of perfection. This Beta model features 24 frets and a compact body size, making it a popular model that also served as the basis for the BK-4 signature model of bassist KenKen, known for his diverse activities, including solo work and the band RIZE.
While it's certainly capable of delivering the Atelier-esque boomy sound, it's tuned for a slightly flatter, less quirky sound than the flagship model, the M#265. The bold heel-cut joint and 24-fret design also make it particularly playable, delivering a tight, crisp tone despite its small body, making it a versatile instrument suitable for any genre. The preamps are a Bartokini XTCT and a custom MCT375, and the 3-band EQ allows for a wide range of sound creation.
There are some minor scratches and a small dent on the head top, but it is in relatively good condition.
There is plenty of room for the truss rod and the neck is in good condition.
