The translucent Ebony Transparent finish allows the beautiful grain of the ash wood to show through the body, and the 4-ply Black Pearl pickguard, combined with gold parts and block position inlays, creates a gorgeous look. This guitar not only has a striking presence, but is also a joy to hold and convincing to play.
The body is crafted from two-piece select ash, delivering a perfect balance of clear, sustained highs and firm lows. Its moderate weight of approximately 4.47 kg provides stability and responsiveness during playing. The highly rigid quarter-sawn neck has been redesigned to a C-shape, and the fingerboard is made of slab-laminated ebony. The comfortable neck shape and meticulous finish allow for stress-free handling, even during extended playing sessions, while the smooth frets allow for effortless positioning. The construction, which takes into account the resonance and feel of the wood, demonstrates the meticulous attention to detail you'd expect from a custom shop.
The guitar is equipped with hand-wound Custom Shop Vintage Jazz Bass pickups. Each pickup individually produces a warm, solid tone, and when combined, they produce a three-dimensional, powerful sound. The sound, combining the warm, sweet mids characteristic of Fender with a clear, powerful attack, fully embodies the allure of the Jazz Bass. Combined with the RSD DLX bridge and vintage-style tuning machines, the instrument delivers rich sustain and exceptional stability.
The NOS lacquer finish enhances the natural resonance of the wood, deepening its richness and character with use.
