Description

Fender's first solid-body electric bass, the Precision Bass, was born and released in 1951. Following the success of the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass was released later, and it continues to influence the music scene today.

This time we have a Precision Bass in stock, with a plate serial number from around 1975, the latest model, an ash body, and a natural color.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.7 kg. The body is made of ash. It features a natural color that accentuates the beauty of the wood grain. While there is some aging of the clear top coat, dents and paint peeling, signs of wear on plastic parts, and dullness on metal parts, the instrument is in good condition, typical of an old instrument. The finger rest has been replaced. Metal covers are missing.

【neck】
The neck is made of one piece of maple. There is some weather checking, especially around the headstock, and some paint peeling around the fingerboard, but like the body, it is in good condition. The tuners are slightly loose, but they function well. The frets and nut are slightly worn, but playability is good. The headstock is 14.3mm thick. The nut width is 42.5mm. The neck shape is relatively sturdy.

[Electrical system]
The controls are simple, with a single pickup: master volume and master tone. The pickups have been replaced with SeymourDuncan SPB-1s. All other controls remain in their original condition. Combined with the vintage-style pickups, this bass retains the distinctive ash-body P-bass tone while providing a versatile tone.
