Description

Since its release in 1960, the Jazz Bass has been a staple of Fender's bass lineup alongside the Precision Bass, and continues to influence the music scene to this day. Numerous variations and reissues of the original, as well as models inspired by it by other companies, have been produced, establishing it as a solid standard for electric bass guitars.

This guitar has the characteristics of a refinished body color from around the first half of 1969. It has arrived in player condition.
*Please note that due to the nature of body refinishing, we cannot guarantee 100% matching of the neck and body.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.2 kg. The alder body has been refinished and is now a beautiful three-tone sunburst color. The distance between the pickups indicates a pre-1969 body, and the serial number, '66 pot, and Ajax capacitor indicate it was shipped around 1969. There are some minor scratches and slight tarnish on parts, but it remains in relatively good condition. The pickguard has been replaced with a Fender replacement part, and the finger rest has also been replaced.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. The back of the neck has been refinished with a clear coat and, like the body, is in relatively good condition. The tuners are wound to varying degrees, but they function properly. The frets and nut have only slight wear, and playability is good. The headstock is 15.0mm thick and the nut width is 38.2mm. It features a sturdy neck shape typical of this period.

[Electrical system]
The controls are standard jazz bass wiring (2 volume/1 tone). The pickup date is no longer legible, but the original solder on the pot indicates it's an original, and the pickup eyelets have been resoldered. The pots and capacitors remain the same as they were back then. This guitar offers a punchy tone with a touch of compression.
