We now have custom STEM JMB4 models in stock, finished in purple metallic with the new aged finish option!
STEM is a brand that has achieved affordable prices by maintaining the quality of the wood that Sago carefully selects and stocks, but limiting the specifications, outsourcing costly woodworking processes, and reviewing small parts.
All processes after woodworking, such as painting and setup, are carried out in Sago's workshop, ensuring quality is maintained and allowing for Sago's signature paint jobs, such as traditional colors and wrap paint, which, when combined with the pickguard color, create a wide variety of options.
The second in the STEM bass series is the highly popular JMB4 (JM Bass), also from the Sago brand!
While maintaining the traditional JM-type body design, the horn has been slightly extended to improve balance when held with a strap, and the cutaway has been widened to allow for smoother access to the higher positions, improving playability. The pickup cover for the 4-string model is the same as the JM-type, resulting in a design that is both cool and pop.
The custom-order model by Tamura of Spitz and the custom model by Derassan of Hanbredders also have a similar shape and are very popular among musicians.
This passive guitar features an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, and a split-coil pickup like a P-type pickup for a vibrant, mid-range sound. The overall weight is just 3.87 kg, and the lightweight tuning machines and small headstock provide excellent balance when playing standing up, making it easy to handle on stage.
This guitar is finished in a very thin purple metallic lacquer with a finish that looks like it's been used in live performances. This realistic aging effect, which is rare for purple guitars, was achieved by a staff member with experience in the relic department at Fender Custom Shop, and is a custom order made to our specifications.
The aged finish applied to the pickguard and parts creates an outstanding design that is a hybrid blend of modern and vintage elements.
While Sago is a popular brand with many professional users, it also has a strong image as a fully customizable brand, and few music stores stock it. However, our shop carries a wide range of products, including the "Sago" brand, as well as "Stem," a Japanese-made brand with reduced options and manufacturing costs that makes it affordable, and the student brand "Seed," which offers a lineup of artist models.
