Description

An upgraded 24-fret model, Beta 5-string.

ATELIER Z Guitar Works is trusted by professional bassists of all musical styles. Among the brand's extensive lineup of basses, featuring a clear sound orientation and a variety of specifications to meet the player's needs, this "Beta" model features 24 frets and a deep cutaway on the first string side, providing excellent playability in the upper positions. It features an ash body, cell-wrapped maple neck, and an original bridge. While retaining the tight, powerful bass tone of the brand's flagship model, the "M (Magnitude)," this model also features a distinctive, sharp body shape and a crisp, well-balanced sound.

A unique feature of the ATELIER Z is its ability to deliver a firm, natural tone even with a low string height setting. Not only does it deliver excellent tone projection when slapping, but it also delivers a well-defined bottom end with both fingerpicking and picking. The thick pickguard and exquisite Z tuning system, combined with the tight string spacing and smooth feel for pressing and picking, provide a stable playing experience, truly making it an outstanding tool for supporting the player's expression. Enjoy the brand's signature slap sound to the fullest with this instrument. Even when boosting the sound on the unit during slapping, there's no loss of volume or dispersion, significantly enhancing the presence of the bass. In addition to the crisp sound that the brand is known for, the 24-fret design provides nimble playability and ease of handling technical phrases, contributing to this model's popularity. It's also recommended for those who want to play a variety of genres with a single bass.

The Beta series, which has been in the lineup for a long time, underwent a major redesign in March 2025, bringing with it updated specifications for the model. A 19mm string spacing is now standard, and the pickup is the company's original "JZ-5" with a slant pole piece/split coil configuration, delivering a noiseless yet powerful sound. The active preamp is also newly developed, the "AZ-3B." Each of the three bands can be boosted or cut, covering a wide range of tones. Features like a heel cut on the joint and a removable finger ramp are also actively incorporated, catering to technically-oriented players. With upgrades to each component, this is one of the two flagship models, and it's even more powerful than ever. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get your hands on one of these iconic models.
