Description
Description
Roger Sadowsky's goal was to further improve his already very successful bass design by implementing many detailed improvements. Together with his self-developed active circuit, he succeeded in taking the J/J bass sound to a new level. All the characteristics of this bass sound - the typical Sadowsky tone with its clear, articulate lows, modern but not overly aggressive midrange, and clear highs - are carried over to the MetroLine series, manufactured exclusively in Germany. This distinctive sound is also carried over to the 24-fret single-cut bass.
The Single Cut model, a familiar sight in NYC for several years, has finally arrived in the Metro line. The Single Cut shape, featuring a unique body and neck resonance in addition to its innovative design, sets it apart from the bulky feel of other similar shapes. It combines Sadowsky's signature elegant design with a surprisingly compact, comfortable fit. It features a sophisticated deep-cut cutaway for enhanced playability, 24 frets, a modernly positioned soap bar near the bridge, and original parts such as the mid-boost (500 and 800 Hz) found on the Will Lee model, an active circuit with bypass, passive tone control, treble/bass EQ boost, ultra-lightweight tuners, and a bridge for exceptional response. This guitar delivers world-class quality in both sound and playability. The 24-fret design produces a wide scale, and the soapbar pickups and single-cut, deep joints give it a deep, refined tone with a long life. The active EQ produces an attacking, powerful sound that embodies a more modern nuance, making it suitable for any style of music, regardless of playing style or genre.
After receiving worldwide acclaim for its domestically produced models, the transition to a German/Warwick factory-made model has become a hot topic. While retaining most of the basic concepts and specifications, the model utilizes Warwick's strength of "vast wood stock" and hand-selected materials, along with a chambered body not found in Japanese-made models, resulting in a lightweight body weighing around 4kg despite being a single-cut body. This model also includes a NYC-based model, which was not previously available in the Metro line, so please experience this new Sadowsky challenge.
