Description
This used item was made in 2015 during the transitional period of the ES2 pickup and X bracing specifications!
The condition of this instrument shows slight signs of use, such as a small dent on the back of the neck and tarnish on the metal parts, but there are no major scratches or damage, which indicates that it has been handled with care.
Upon arrival at our store, the frets are filed and the entire instrument is inspected, ensuring excellent playability.
In terms of sound, the most notable feature is the warm tone that is unique to all-mahogany.
When played with your fingers, the wound strings produce a mellow, moist, enveloping tone, while the first and second strings have a transparent yet sparkling overtone that gives a pleasant impression.
Although it has a short scale that makes it easy to play, the slotted head increases tension, resulting in good pronunciation and sustain.
The 12-fret joint provides excellent volume, allowing you to enjoy a full-bodied sound that rivals that of a full-size GA.
Contrary to expectations, the stroke style produces a refreshing tone.
The overtones unique to mahogany come to the forefront of the tone, and the high range extension that doesn't interfere with the vocals is excellent.
The pickup system is Taylor's original Expression System II pickup system.
The ES2's piezo is positioned against the side of the saddle, rather than underneath it, resulting in a clearer sound without any sense of compression.It also allows the entire body to vibrate more effectively.
Taylor implemented the ES2 pickup in 2014 and adopted V-bracing in 2018, making this a very valuable transitional model that was only produced for four years during that period.
The natural sound and rich playing feel with faithful response to picking nuances have a charm that can only be experienced with this instrument.
